Well I don't like the persona that you put on here, chasing me about and having a go at much of what I say (especially when it differs from your view) but allowing whatever is written that supports your point.

And you know me well enough to call me sad in your opinion. Now there is an irony.

Now if you have finished with the personal attacks, some of us are trying to discuss the topic of the thread that you are dragging off topic.

Do you have a view or are you just reading to pick me up on things?

i think you will find that it was you that started the personal attacks on fellow fans.....as for irony, i simply responded to your post to me, as is the intention of a forum board, or is that ironic too

if you want a definition of ironic, you should read back your 1st paragraph again and then look back over the your previous posts to fellow fans who dare question mancini

There is a problem, with this forum and many others, and it is this, the people who hold a minority opinion tend to be the the ones who shout the loudest!

I bet there are about 5 or 6 posters on here (out of the 1000's of members) that hold the "Mancini out" opinion, but at first glance you would think that it was the majority opinion.

You will notice that some only come on here when we have a poor result or perceived poor result, they never come on when we win, they are not interested in debate, they just want the world to know what they think and feel, so they repeat it time and time again, just to make sure that we all understand where they are coming from, it was the same with Hughes and Sven

mancini out!

I also was not happy with last nights tactics. Regardless of "targets" our intention should be to win something not qualify for something. We have an outside chance of winning the Premiership and if we do not beat one of our main rivals at home then who do we expect to beat them? Sure, we can play the percentage game and qualify for the qualifying round of the Champions League but are we seriously saying that qualifying for the Champions League is more important than a title assault? Sure we could have been beaten but far more likely was that we would have won. The days when we should be afraid of United, Chelsea etc are gone. I would not call Mancini gutless ( he's got a job a keep ) but any City fan who came away last night thinking that was a point won rather than two lost should take a long hard look at themselves. If, as a club, we are to take this wonderful opportunity we have been given then we all have to adopt a winning attitude. Sometimes winning means being brave and exposing yourself to the possibility of losing but it has to be done. In the end fortune really does favour the brave.

FC and DD are spot on.

The majority of blues at games know that this negative football has to stop. They know that AJ has to start most games, especially at home. They know that the 3 holding midfielders just isn't working for us (even if one is playing a bit further upfield).

People on here don't like to hear the truth and it's a shame that we've attracted a lot of clueless foreigners jumping on the bandwagon recently, this place is slowly becoming daft.
Ahh, that old chestnut; the majority of blues at the game.

What's wrong with speaking for yourself?

Strangely enough SWP I had two PM`s on Sunday from "shady" basically telling me to wind my neck in,because I dared to ask why a thread of mine was removed for sticking up for Bobby Manc !!
Although he was not the MOD he made it clear I was, and I use his words "inflaming the situation" for writing a thread in support.
After all the slagging the poor guy got the previous week,I thought a response in favour would have been more forthcoming !!
Makes you wonder what "shadys" agenda really is ????

So that's a no to getting back ON TOPIC then?

As I say, you pick up on things I say (calling Grandmaster Ram Rod a child for being the "big match going blue" saying he is right as he goes to games and that foreign fans are bandwagon jumpers) but it is fine for him to say that as his view is anti-Mancini like you. But I am the one being mean to fellow fans! Jesus.

As for me saying to change manager would be foolish, well that is my opinion and has been borne out time and again over the last 30 years. Atleast it is not wholey based on bollocks.

But what do I know. I am only a sad man.

Well I have just been given a pm stating that I am treading a very fine line with several (but perhaps not all though he didn't say) of the mods in here for agressive posting (I am assuming he means aggressive intellectually as I have never physically threatened anyone on here)

Back on topic - can I ask anyone if they would have taken this league position (and points in relation to other teams) after 12 games back at the start of August?

Is it just the manner of play or the results that is upsetting people?

Hughes also didn't have a punishing Thursday-Sunday-Thursday European schedule to fit in.

Besides, looking at the points total itself doesn't tell the whole story, as the league is looking much more compact this year. The Premier League has been won with 75 points by United, and 95 points by Chelsea... so it shows the differentials that can happen. Indeed, Liverpool only came 4th a couple of seasons ago with 76 points. More than the 75 United have won it with. And when Everton qualified they did so with 61 points. So comparing points year on year can be a falsehood - comparing positions and relative proximity to other key teams is much more telling.
The Premierhsip is much tighter this season. The difference between 17th and 5th was 11 points this time last season. Now it's only 5.
