had a bit of time to collect my thoughts on the game yesterday.

motivation, performances and results all come down to the manager, no-one else. bobs team has failed miserably this season, yes we are 2nd, but the inability to keep pace with the rags is worrying.

the performances and the way our team has been worked out by other teams, and our subsequent failure to adapt our game is shocking. that is the most telling thing for me. that winger we bought from Swansea, I cant honestly remember his name off the top of my head, is a point in case. and the fact I cant remember his name is also making me question just what the fuck did we buy him for? cos it wasn't for playi

the owners will splash out on a big name, jose is the obvious name as he has succeeded in the cl regularly.

I don't blame the players though, motivated or not, they are sent out by the manager under instruction to play in certain ways and formations, some of them have been baffling.

Some salient points with which I agree but to say that you dont blame the players if they are unable to motivate themselves is ridiculous. If any of them are playing the "Chelasea game" then I hope it is recognised by the executive and, whether Mancini stays or goes, are shown the door at the earliest opportunity.

the players are the ones on the pitch.they only need to look and listen to us if they need motivating more than that sack em all

I am pretty sure bob is gone in the summer, the failure in the cl is the main reason, but our capitulation in the league has shoved the last nail in - fa cup win or not. the owners will be looking at the progress made by psg and asking awkward questions.

p.s. scott Sinclair (just saw a thread on him!!)

Yeah that's right - Roberto really sent Gaz Barry out at Southampton with direct instructions to score in his own net. The players have no responsibility for results at all !!

He had for the start of last season and the finish of it. Rarely this season have we gotten close to that level. What I find hard to understand is what do the pro mancini camp think will happen if there was a parting of the ways? Do they think we will suddenly become just another mid table team who rarely challenge for anything? That is not going to happen regardless of who is in charge. We are here to stay either way!

I think it would mean starting again in stead of building on what we have.....i think it would also be a notch on the rag media's bed post to get mancini sacked.....they are scarred of his cause he isnt scarred of fergie.

And then they would just start all over again on the new manager after a few months of grace period....
The only thing united fans will be scared of is us hiring Mourinho, they will be praying we stick with Mancini.

thats rubbish..i know a lot of utd fans who are scared of where we can go and the football we play under mancini.......plus the biggest acholade to the way we play under him is that fergie after all the years of playing basic 4-4-2 has adapted his style to play more the way we play(not exactly like it but he has moved towards it) to combat us

like I say mate, being played in baffling formations and ending up looking like a donkey is the biggest de-motivator you can get. no footballer (or anyone for that matter) wants to look a fool, ad if your boss insists on doing something a certain way that you know is going to make you look a dick, then obviously you are going to get pissed off.
our team is individually one of the best ever assembled in this league, but collectively they are looking like a team that is not understanding what they all should be doing in harmony, you know its there, you have seen for yourself how they have played this season.
team that is in disharmony = demotivation.

Lol, I don't remember when I met non City fan that rates Mancini at all or at least at any significant top level, let alone be scared of him.

In what kind of world you guys are living?

a lot of average football fans are ungractious/lie about feelings/respect/opinions of other managers/teams etc

Reading through opposition fans forum and talking to mates most don't rate him and certainly don't fear him.

question.. do you think we can catch the scum this year ??

No. 20 points behind them by the end of the season

I think we can win all our remaining games if the manager makes enough good decisions and the players have the right attitude.

I don't think winning all our remaining league games will be enough to catch the Rags.

Sorry for telling you to do one...thanks for answering the question... I do still believe we can catch them.
