A trophy nearly every full year of management says that opinion is inaccurate.
Players have to grow up and be men when dealing with Mancini or move on.[/quote]

That in a nutshell is it. In 66 england didn´t win the world cup because they were the most talented group of players, they won because as a group they were self starters and proper men, not whingeing lightweights like Nasri.

Alf Ramsey wasn´t the type to indulge players and his treatment of Greaves would have had some on here calling for his immediate sacking. But it was the right choice.

'self starters and proper men...' eh? Why do I already know that your diet contains a morbidly excessive amount of fiber?

He doesn't have to. He's the manager!

Not for much longer...

WTF does that mean? The point I am making is that good teams don´t have too many mental lightweights in them. Players who can´t take public criticism are by definition lightweight. Not saying I agree with Mancini doing this but if he is trying to get Nasri to get his act together then I´ll buy into it. If Nasri prefers to sulk that´s his choice and will result in him playing for someone else.

Due to FFPR, we cant afford to just keep offloading expensive signings because they have fell out with the manager.

We are told that so much work goes into finding out the mentality of players before we splash the cash yet we still have problems.

Why is that and at what point do we say enough is enough?

Best mates no but a professional working relationship borne out through a mutual respect is all that's required.

Both players AND Bob have a part to play in ensuring that's what happens.

Looks like I've rattled a few cages. So be it.
If the City manager says jump every City player should say "How High Boss".
It is the only way any football club, including CITY, will be successful.

Nonsense.

Agreed and when Bob has got the respect and belief of all the squad, im sure it will happen but until then we will continue to see the public spats imo.

That's not the point though is it

So you want Mancini pretend?

No, what I want is for him is to stop pointlessly slagging off his players for no good reason. At the moment he's giving a fair impression of Blackadder's Captain Rum.

"I thought it was common managerial practice and good sense not to slag one's players off in public?"
"Opinion is divided on the subject my Lord"
"Oh? How so?"
"All the other managers say it is, I say it isn't"

If you don't know how Mancini works now after being here for over 3 years you will never know him

No, I want a manager who is not a disaster as a man-manager. Our players play for themselves, for their own professional pride, that is when they bother to. They stopped playing for Bobby a long, long time ago, but his corrosive personality continues to infect the squad, and other parts of the organization from time to time. That will be put right at season's end.

You don't have the slightest clue if or when certain players stopped playing for the manager, nor do have any idea about the effect of the manager's personality on the rest of the club, nor do you have any evidence or information to suggest that he will be replaced when the season ends.
In fact your whole post is mere speculation masquerading as fact, therefore completely irrelevant.
By all means hold whatever opinion you like, but please don't try to claim unsubstantiated opinion as gospel.

I merely stated my opinion, and nowhere did I claim it to be 'gospel' or anything like that. Go tilt at windmills, if you like.

I see he wants to "punch" one of his signings again today?

Yup, we all know how he works........

So you don't have any evidence whatsoever for your 'opinion'?
Yet you continue to post statements such as 'Mancini won't be manager for long',despite being unable to back it up with anything.
Why do you say that,then?

I know HOW he works. I'm saying I don't agree with it, and that slagging your players off all the time in public is not productive.......and I've yet to see anything resembling an answer to convince me that it is
