He's still at school?

What can one really say about someone who can't fathom the difference between a 'customer' and a 'football supporter' oh dear I think that says all we need to know about 'OB1' and 'Blue Heaven' who seemingly only joined the forum to slag Mancini. What's that I can smell.....

Given that OB1 has over 2000 posts to his name, going back long before Mancini joined the club, I'm gonna take a guess that the smell is that of your argument crashing and burning (again)

And given that I know that Blue Heaven was wafted to this planet from one further along the evolutionary chain by means of Interstellar Overdrive many years ago and instantly realised City were the team to support, I can confirm the odour does not emanate from him as they are a scentless race of humanoids.

Do you seriously think that infantile jibes like this further your cause?
This latest childish example, your throwaway 'playground' comment of a page ago,and your fellow Exeter 'outer' calling those with the temerity to disagree with him 'melon heads' actually makes you look an awful lot more immature than those you decry.

It's not meant to further any cause, it's a (gentle) dig at someone who dismissed what happened in the 60's because they weren't born then...

Thanks for the support Nijinsky but tbh I always think when someone feels the need to throw juvenile insults around its simply a sign that they have lost the argument and have nothing else worthy to say. If you think something is ridiculous then simply don't respond.

It's a shame that people feel the need to respond like that but it has zero impact on me and I shall continue to make the points that I believe in, although try not to spam the board in the same way as some others I could mention.

Again, nice try but if you don't get the point of my digs about age, I'm not going to help you further.

I'll let my serious comments stand or fall in terms of the argument but I do find it ironic, along with a number of things, that Inners keep claiming the argument has been lost by the Outers because...

The argument or debate is not over and even if Mancini stays or goes, the argument may never be decide, because we will not know what would or would not have happened had a different decision been taken; although we may get a general consensus on whether what happened has turned out for the best. I doubt now that many people would disagree that replacing Hughes with Mancini was a good decision but at the time and in the run up to that decision there would have been far less consensus.

And, by the by, I don't want to win this debate: I'd much rather Mancini proved that he can change and improve in his job and lead us to greater glories.

Joe Hart has had critisism and is on for the golden glove.

I must admit its one thing about the boss that I don't like him doing.

If it gets results then Im ok with it..

Your making the assumption that every player can take criticism well. Joe Hart has a strong mentality, i can't say the same for Nasri. How he responds to this is anyone's guess.

Except for the fact that Stam, Keane, Tevez amongst others have had bad words to say about him. The British media really is king, isn't it?

facts dont lie. whatever goes on over the road they win stuff. and have done for some time.

The same could be said for Mancini as a manager, but yet his methods are being continually criticised. Yet Fergusons methods are being praised. Speaks volumes to me.

agreed, left alone bob will continue to win stuff.

I'm not one of these football fans who only watches football, I watch lots of other sports. And one thing I see quite a lot across all of them is that there are many managers/bosses who lay blame squarely at the feet of players/performers. I'd rather someone did that than blame other factors like the officials/the governing body/the weather/the pitch/corruption...I always see through that and find it's just them defecting blame for their own downfalls.

Mancini has said "Joe needs to stop making mistakes" after he did make a few mistakes, and he's kept 13 clean sheets in 16 games. Mancini said "Carlos isn't scoring enough" after he was looking a bit lathargic and hadn't scored for ages, and he's gone and scored 7 goals in 6 games. If I were a player I would respond positively to open criticism, I'd like to be managed like that.

I think we saw on Saturday how Nasri responds so all good there. Brian Clough was the master of criticising his own players and getting a response. It's not necesarilly a bad thing, if players are'nt mentally strong enough to accept it maybe they're not strong enough to be at the top level.

At the end of the day, perfection is somewhat impossible. There will always be moments when a team (who is trying everything to win) just isn't. Sometimes the distraction is beneficial to their psyche. It's not about player responses. Or having a team full of barnstormers. It's about results and making sure each player is performing to their potential. How that is done is not important.

Not sure it matters how Nasri responds - although in fairness he does seem inclined to put in a shift at the mo - but general rule is that when Mancini calls you out for lack of stomach for the fight then you're history. Even if he is smiling at the time.

Kompany having a ruck with Mancini is different. Having a ruck with Mancini is the equivalent of a quiet chat over tea and biscuits. Mind you saying Kompany should give 100% focus to City will sting and should stand us in good stead for the rest of the season

As for the faux outrage over the slight to City's history complete with enough raised skirts and swooning damsels to make your average Victorian melodrama blush...I advise smelling salts and the afternoon resting quietly on the Chaise Longue.

Poor lambs
