It's a problem because its splattered all over the press, for a start. None of us know how this has affected kompany or the squad he leads, either, but I defy anyone to come on here and claim that has in some way motivated them.

Being "splattered all over the press" is only a problem if the people involved want it to be a problem. There has been so much written about the manager, the players and the club and I doubt anyone that counts pays much attention to 90% of it.

If there is an issue between VK and RM it won't be because of a Belgian newspaper story. And any issue wouldn't go away because it's not being played out in the public domain.

FWIW I'm struggling to find too much difference between what RM has said about VK and what Ferguson said publicly about Vidic playing for Serbia as he was coming back from injury a year or so ago.

The story's true. 100%.
Now theres a surprise. Who told you ?
dismals paperboy.
My moneys on Duncan castles :)
It saddens me to see posters seizing on each and every story about player discontent with relish and even looking beyond the derby to the Cup semi for the next opportunity to brand the manager a failure.

The fact is that BM is becoming very shrill in parts about this ancient debate now, at a time when the few potentially better managers have either already settled elsewhere or are in the process of doing so.

I agree the Sheikh cannot be entirely happy to see the clubs owned by his Qatari brothers still in the Champs League while we again exited in the group stage. But I think Mancini's inevitable continued tenure will prove the end of an era for BM, even if he fails in Europe again next year and is replaced at Christmas.

Surely our faction warfare and the persistent negativity that ensues must end for the sake of the forum. Fin d'une époque.

It will only end when the outers get their ultimate wish
Mancini gone

'For the sake of the forum...' or for the sake of the Motherland?

Nah, as soon as he's gone, I'm going straight on the offensive against the new manager. ;-)

It does make me chuckle that some of the most vociferous Mancini critics were Hughes inners. Even of those who were critical of Hughes, I think virtually none, or even none, of the Outers, were as emphatic about their criticism of Hughes as they have been Mancini, which shows us they are not objective.

What concerns me is the vociferous nature of the attacks on Mancini. I have my doubts about his style of management and the way he operates. I must admit I would not like to work under him. Man management aint that difficult when you work out who needs an arm around them and who needs a bollocking. Bobby seems to only have the distant aloof, bollocking approach which would not get the best out of me.

That said, first trophy in years and a Premier League title. Something I never thought I'd see when Wycombe were doing the double over us.

Everything is black and white, no shades of grey allowed.

Strange that Mancini is such a bad man manager yet Kompany committed a 6 year contract to the club whilst under his management.

Kompany's mrs is mancunian born and bred so I think he will be happy to stay a while longer.

Manager and player in disagreement shocker! Ycnmiu so they had a disagreement mancio reminded him who is boss. I'm sure both of them are adult enough to move on. Shame some of our fans can't.
Having clicked on your name last week and seen the dozens of topics you start bitching about our fans it's no Great surprise to see you going down that road again.

Now let me just make this abundantly clear. The problem is not Mancini having a problem with kompany. The problem is Mancini choosing to go public with that problem. Do you understand there is a difference here? If you don't , I suggest you keep a close eye on tomorrow's papers.

Have a look at them, and ask yourself if this problem wouldn't have been better addresses behind closed doors. If your answer is 'yes it would' then Mancini has made a cock up.

lol

I feel the waffle waffle brigade are going to have to invest in new waffle machines. In fact it wouldn't surprise me if they're currently in a kitchen somewhere waffling up some more waffles about how Mancini's way is what is the best way to eat waffles.

Should you, at some point, manage to traverse the channel tunnel and grace us with your presence at The Etihad you may well witness the wholehearted support the majority of match going blues give our Bobby.

Ah, so public opinion (not that anyone has actually conducted a survey on the matter of the City manager as far as I am aware) is now a reliable guide to quality is it? Large numbers of people voted Thatcher back in 3 times, made the X Factor the most popular show on TV and awarded the Mumfords and Dullplay with the best group and live act awards at this years Brits.....the latter of which was a borderline war crime

Correct. What matters is what the people in charge want and until the end of the season it looks like Mancini is what they want.

We'll have to see what happens in the summer and I'll look forward to supporting City & Mancini or City & whoever the new bloke is at the start of the new season if they decided to stick or twist.
