He doesn't really cry,he just states a fact ,we didn't strengthen as we should've and we'd all want the fans to know I/we didn't get the players we wanted/needed if we were the manager.I know i'd want everyone to know this.
Were his targets realistic? Especially with FFP coming into fruition, I don´t think they were. I can´t neither see Mancini accepting signings that werent his, so he has to take responibilty for them, should he not?

your opinion
Of course, I´m not saying I´m right by any means.

Maybe, I have nothing against him spending money, I just don´t like him crying in the media about the players he diden´t get considering the money he has already spent.

Maybe he should but they obviously weren't his first choice and definitely not the signings defending champions should be making.

were not his first choice, a challenge laid down to cheeky
Well, his choices weren´t realistic. De Rossi Romanista through and through and mind you diden´t want to come us.

Martinez 40mill........ Garcia was probably his third choice, Rodwell (Homegrown) and according to RM himself he has been interested in him for some time. Hazard 35-38 Mill and it´s seems that we diden´t want to pay his agent, which is fair. He wanted RVP as well but diden´t get him for whatever reason, the fact remains that Mancini (had) 4 strikers (costing over 20mill each) on the books already and you would like to think that he would be happy with that,

Lets not kid ourselves, Mancini has spent as much or more then most managers and he still has the nerve to bitch about his squad.

as I said not his first choices. We agree he has spent money we had to. If he got what he wanted I suspect we would be top of the league
I think quite a few managers would be top of the league if they got the players Mancini wanted. He should be working better with ones he has already got imo.

Mancini's pre season whinging was pathetic & calculated to put the blame elsewhere in the event he struggled.

I prefer us to keep him on, but he is not perfect by any stretch of the imagination & only an idiot would think his whinging was in any way a good thing for the club.

It was, & is, embarrassing. He has better resources to work with than 99% of managers.
I feel the same way and I can´t see how his comments are going to help the players HE signed by saying that they diden´t improve the team, he should man up and take some resonsibility.

my point is though mate, weve still spent a lot of money, The players have been added to the squad, so to be 15 points behind isn't an execuse.

Fair enough.

I agree but Mancini is using it as an excuse and tbf to him he has been unlucky with injuries this season and Yaya being away.

I think it's true that some managers could have had us challenging better this season but United's form is unnatural and hopefully an anomaly, and I'm not sure if anyone could have had us in 1st place. It would have taken a season like this for us to keep up (Pellegrini got the axe from Real Madrid for it too and was up against the greatest club side the world has ever seen):

I gave up debating on Mancini and his tenure at city because I know I'm right :) and everyone else's opinion regarding Mancini should be let go is Wrong! ;)

Agreed on that, I've argued Mancini's European failings at large - he's been a poor European manager in his career so far. I think he's a very good domestic coach but has been found out a bit tactically (the regular away draws against well organised mid to lower table teams) and needs to evolve his tactical approach if he is to stay.

Would agree with all of that, and add the need to evolve the way he handles his players. Sadly I'm not convinced he will, but I live in hope!

Need to give up with the Mancini's crap in Europe mantra, in English football he could (with FA cup this year) have 3 pots in 3 years.
European cups will follow but we may only win 1 or 2 per 10 years - there are other big clubs outside of England, Real Madrid have won nowt in Europe for 11 years!
So what if we didn't get out of the group stage, did you expect to win it so soon? All we did was not earn an extra 5 million revenue in reality.

I wonder if those most vocal posters on here (as well as anyone else of course) could dispassionately list the 3 managers that they would most like to see in charge at City in descending order of preference.

I venture that if people were truly honest very few of the people putting forward their list would include the names that aere now connected with getting the job as they most likely include Pep and Jose and more than likely Klopp.

If that is the case I rest mine.

I have no idea what either of you think about Mancini, but you're both bang on.
