Mancini's missus calling the shots?

I'm Manchester born-and-bred, but Manchester really doesn't have much going for it outside of our football club.

Could be anywhere in the UK outside of London, to set itself apart.

The older I get, the smaller it seems to get.

I have had banter before about it, but Carlos was right about one thing, he says it has two decent restaurants.

I'd argue it has none.

oh ffs how bloody important are you? Manchester has no restaurants is so far up yourself as to be preposterous

Manchester is a shit place to live when you compare it with other cities like London, Barcelona, Milan etc.

Do you mean the Manchester that kick started the modern world with the advent of the Industrial revolution? The same Manchester that boasts the 1st Public park, public library and the 1st EVER railway station? That Manchester?... Or do you mean the Manchester that John Dalton's atomic theory came to being which is only the fore runner to ALL modern medicine.

Or Maybe you refer to the Manchester where Ernest Rutherford first split the Atom harnessing Nuclear energy?... Is that the SHIT place you speak of? Perhaps when Emmeline Pankhurst founded the suffragette movement In Manchester she disagreed with your opinion too? Maybe when Frederick Royce met Charles Rolls in MANCHESTER they were planning on driving out of this SHIT HOLE?

and Maybe, Just Maybe if you think Manchester is so shit, Then You should stop using you PC as that also only came into existence as the genius of Alan Turing (he of the way) made it so.

I hear Paris has nice grub, pretty pictures and woman with sexy hairy armpits, Milan has swanky clothes, Pretty pictures and convenient scooters to nip about on... Manchester on the other hand is... Well Shit apparently, done nothing for nobody. Maybe i'm just fond of the place because i'm born and bred here? Or maybe i love it for it's beautiful listed architecture? Or the numerous great bands that have made this City the coolest in the world?

I've saved the best for last ofcourse. That being our beautiful boys in blue ARE Manchester. Either way you're wrong and you can stick your fancey pants Euro capitals up your arse. None of them have contributed half as much to the world as Manchester.

lmao that was a shit agruement..all u did was name why manchester is a city of history which is very nice it adds character to the city...but just cuz atomic energy was harnessed there and u had the first railway and that it was the home of the industrial revolution doesnt make the city any more enjoyable of a place to live if u r a footballer especially one coming form milan or madrid or barca...im not knocking manchester never been there and my dream is to go there and support my team..but ur argument said a bunch of nothing regarding manchester being an enjoyable place to be.. Thomas edison's workshop was in my hometown the birthplace of modern electricity doesnt mean its place ppl wud enjoy .."DID U KNOW EDISON INVENTED THE LIGHT BULB HERE" replies "COOL NOW LETS GET THE FUCK OUTTA HERE AND GET A DRINK THIS SHIT IS BORING" lol

Would somebody care to explain what language this gentleman is speaking.

I meant that you would then avoid the 3 month ban although your lack of appearances here since we won the league would suggest you have taken it voluntarily ;)

I've been too busy celebrating, travelling, and working. Plus it's not like the forum is currently chock full of riveting debate - well, apart from Pam's obviously thought provoking contributions!

Seriously though, I'm absolutely a man of my word so if I lose, come the first day of the season I'll be gone...
Made me lol

Well the Wimpy has gone off Market Street, it's never been the same since

And the sit down chippy in Piccadilly bus station. The only place left now is 'this and that' in shudehill

I wish we had a fraction of Manchester´s music scene in this part of Spain. I live in a live pop music wasteland. Nice sun, chics, beaches and paella and all that but a fookin cultural vacuum when it comes to music. As for Milan they´ve got fook all unless you´re into opera at 100 plus euros a throw.
I make it a point to go to a gig whenever I´m back - very rarely nothing worth seeing any night of the week
My Mrs loves terraced housing btw and she´s Spanish
Northern Quarter
Printworks
University area
Canal St (whichever way you´re inclined)
And the best curry zone anywhere in Europe!!

Nowt going on?

FFS!!!

I saw a comment recently that sums this country up. London is New York,Washington and LA rolled into one which is never healthy for a country. There is no other provisional city in the UK that can get near Manchester. Apart from needing a good clean now and again I think it's got lots to offer!!!
