Mancini's selection and tactics

He's pissed off for the same reason most of us are pissed off. We are playing like drains. But so are most of the others, so it could be worse.

Really need a sequence of wins to kick start the season. Instead of which we're about to go into another stupid international fortnight. But if we can beat Fulham and Dortmund, it will be a start.

The difference is the others whilst playing shit are grinding out wins. We're not!

Why should Mancini be pissed off about the summer transfer window? we kept our best players on long term deals, got rid of some deadwood and improved the squad. I do think Mancini looks unhappy but perhaps thats because he had control over Marwood, i mean he publically blamed Marwood for the lack of players however could anyone see him behaving the same against Soriano?

Also to the person who said Mancini will be sacked if we lose to Fulham and Dortmund thats the biggest load of shite I have heard. IMO the board will stick with Mancini through a rough patch hence the new 5 year deal however the only way I can see them getting rid of him is if he alienates the dressing room. We all know that man management is not one of Bobby's strong points but I can't help feeling is he carries on the way he is then he will lose the dressing room the comment about Hart and treatment of Dzeko compared to Mario is quite fankly appalling. Against Arsenal I seriously felt sorry for Edin, he was our best player on the pitch who also looked the most likely to create something and gets subbed when an unfit Aguero who IMO had his worst game for city stayed on the pitch was a joke. What has Dzeko got to do to get a run of games?

How on earth have we done that?

Simple question do you think Mancini's makes the team greater than the sum of its parts?

I think we have the best squad in the league; stronger than last year with Tevez for a full season and five quality new arrivals.

Anything less than top 2 and Champs League quarter finals should be classed as failure.

Mancini currently is on self destruct mode dont know why almost as though he wants to get punted sometime this season

Get back to basics make us difficult ot get beat win the midfield battle and rely on Tevez or Aguer or Ballo to do the rest

To me he seems hell bent on shoe horning Aguero - Tevez - Nasri - Silva and Yaya into the team which leave us short in midfield which is why we are conceding

Less is more - if he want to play Tevez and Aguero then Tevex has to drop back into modfield when we lose the ball

I agree with this.

He has made some team selection blunders too, Balotelli at Stoke, Toure at Liverpool, Nastasic/Maicon at RM. Surely by now he knows his best side? if so, why blood the new boys in important early fixtures?

I do think that the lack of a good pre-season has added to his woes though.

Dominate possession and protect the back 4 at Fulham and let the quality of Silva and Aguero take care of Fulham. I'll take a point, and then bring on Dortmund then Sunderland

The Premiership is the be all and end all. As long as we get it right there, nothing else really matters. But we need to avoid defeat at Fulham, and get a win at Dortmund to get our season started. if we can do that, then we can hit an ultra-defensive Sunderland with confidence and go back into the top 4.

In an ideal world we'd get positive injury reports on Nasri, maicon and Richards this week.

No we need to win at Fulham

Fulham/Dortmund/Sunderland we need 9 points ideally. Not getting 3 off Dortmund would be a disaster which IMO would see us dumped out of the CL.

Cporrect another draw at Fulham will heap more pressure on Mancini and the team. We are the Champions of England and he needs to be instilling that into the players. Imagine Malcolm Allison with this squad he'd be shouting it from the rooftops what fantastic footballers we have. We're too meek and its high time we punched our weight and set our sights higher and a draw at Fulham (no disrespect to them) is simply not what we should be aiming for.

We need to beat Fulham because arsenal and chelsea play each other (as do Utd and Spurs) and so when big clubs take points off each other its vital we beat the likes of Fulham

Yes, I see what you're saying. For me though, United will walk past Spurs and Arsenal will beat Chelsea. I would hate to see those two teams opening up any sort of a significant gap against us.

That will change, cookster. It's bound to.
