Mancunian Dialect

Apologies if these are repeats.

Examples of Manc Rhyming Slang:
Bartons = socks (derived from Barton Docks)
Claires = trainers (derived from Claire Rayners)
Newtons = teeth (derived from Newton Heath)
Whalley = change/loose change (derived from Whalley Range)

"Ordinary" slang (origins unknown to me):
Shickers - beers
Macker - shit
Chip Bap - amphetamine
Sorted - everything is good
Our kid - term of endearment, brother
Old q - mum
Old fella - dad
Fuck off - multi use; can mean go away or as an expression of incredulity
Fuck right off - forceful version of fuck off
Barm - bread roll
Muffin - confection of either blueberries, chocolate chips, raspberries or cranberries often erroneously used to refer to a bread roll or barm. Normally used in this context by the subnormal or North Manchester.

A meat pie is often called a growler round Manchester, dunno why though.
....and a meyt an' prata pie on a barm is called a "slapper".

What is it called if it is on a muffin?

Fucking sickly
as muffins are sweet and the juice in the meat pie won't go with the sugar and fruit in a muffin

my wife has some family in cornwall, and they've pulled me on loads that have been mentioned:seen my arse, mooching etc. You dont realise, not everyone says these things.Mind you, they say some odd things like, where you to? meaning where are you?

possibly a few others?? but could be wrong:
kaki - chicken (as in kaki pie)
skinheads on a raft - beans on toast
scally - rogue type character (originated from the docks,i do believe)
give it some clog/wellie - go faster
