Mangala or Demichelis?

It's got to be Martin on Sunday.
We can't pick players just because of the size of their transfer fee.
Mangala has been bought for the long term but the team has to be picked on merit.
Currently Martin is ahead of him however good he may (or may not) turn out to be in the future.
Martin may not be the quickest but he can certainly read a game. And he will know a bit about Di Maria.

Demichellis for the big games and Mangala for the others. We need a calm head who knows how to read the game when the pressure is on.

I want to say Demi for Sunday but i think it depends on who plays at left back. If Clichy plays we know he doesn't venture past the halfway line and has the pace to be able to get back quickly which would allow Demichelis to play. If Kolarov plays though he'll be a lot further forward and will probably need our left sided centre half to cover him a few times with United's pace on the wings which would suggest Mangala.

It has to be Vinnie and Martin at the back, plus no Dzeko anywhere near the starting 11 imo.

There is no doubt that Demichelis has to be our number one choice. He played a great game and his experience shone through.

Top performance from him, didn't someone mention on transfer thread that he's free to leave in may,and hasn't been offered another deal, get this sorted now city....

Other than the one really poor moment where he let the Rapist turn him and go clean through on goal, he was a rock today. Much better protected as well today with Clichy really stepping up for once and Fernando in world beater form. Luckily they never tried to run in behind Clichy, as that's when our defence seems to fall apart.
