6 months in the EDS then a NYCFC loan for them when their season starts in March next year?

I think it would be a good move.

Think 12-18 months would be better but playing with Pirlo and Lampard would be great for his development.

Garcia took his chance brilliantly v Melbourne and starts again, probably in the deeper three of a 4-3-3.

Not seen enough of this lad but what I have seen I have been mightily impressed. A ready made replacement for our Merlin? Any ideas if there is any possibility of this guy being promoted this season? Started both friendlies...maybe a sign?

I think he's way behind in the pecking order at the moment, specially since we've signed Delph and we have Lopes coming back. I think he should spend a year in the EDS and then we'll see if he's ready to replace anyone in the team. Silva's not getting any younger, Nasri could possibly be on his way out, Touré is 32 etc. I think he can become a first team player, but it's certainly not going to happen this year.

He's probably not ready for the first team yet which he showed today and we have a couple of players in EDS over him, but he has definetly shown that he has a talent. Considering developement of our other youth players in the last few years, Garcia is likely to converthis talent into being a good player too.

How many years does his current contract run for? Looks like a star in the making, and learning off the likes of Spanish Dave will be of enormous benefit to the lad

Honestly think Silva will be able to be just as effective until he's at least 35. He isn't particularly fast and therefore shouldn't lose much if any effectiveness for quite awhile. I hope we keep him into the next decade.

With that being said, Manu Garcia has been terribly impressive and I can't wait to see him develop further.
