He has no idea how to set up a proper midfield and even if he does he's too stubborn to change it. He'll stand by his ridiculous 4-4-2 even if it costs us everything. He has no idea how to set up against a side that attacks back.

Defensively, we need new feet on the ground. I would give Mangala more of a chance, he wasn't at all poor today. VK needs a young player on the bench behind him and same for Zaba/Sagna.

As one of the few who's never been convinced by Pellegrini, I'm not surprised by his recent radical ineptitude. Rodgers has used 3-4 tactical systems in the past 18 months, overachieved and developed young players in the process. That's a top coach, not Pellegrini shoehorning as many potential match winners into the 4-4-2 in the hope individual brilliance will out score the opposition.

Mancini was up against Ferguson's dynasty; there was a huge void left by his retirement, and Pellegrini inherited the strongest squad, spent another £100m on it and won the league. In reality, Chelsea had no strikers and Liverpool's galant effort fell short because of squad depth (Henderson's suspension killed them)

Give Rodgers our resources and he'd have eclipsed Pellegrini's achievement in the past 18 months, and with a willingness to utilise and develop British players as well. Pocchettino appears to be of a similar ilk, and attaining one of those fellas in the summer would be the wisest move.

Funnily enough you have just described Mancini. A manager who needs a cheque book to get him out of any scrapes. Both managers have failed to keep the players fully motivated.

Doesn't matter who the manager is, the players are now the main problem.

They have run their race and a lack of desire and intensity has killed this team.

The manager is expecting things from players who just aren't up to it.

He has failed in his duty to recognise and work around those fundamental fault lines.

And for that he will surely pay with his job.

Pellegrini isn't fully at fault. It's been a mix of huge expectations after the money we've spent. We should take a step back and look at our spending compared to Real Madrid and barcelona. They can go out and spend millions on one player. When it does come to buying players, we've been totally inept to sign a player who would become a key player in this side. Weather it's been marwood or txiki, we've been wank in the transfer window for 3 seasons now. It's catching up with us now, espiecally with our ageing squad. There is a certain worry in me that we could be in a for a couple of seasons going through a transition, because we need a serious overhaul.

Another thing is mentality. Our players talk to talk, but they seem to do it with arrogance. It's almost like, we've done it before and we will do it again. In them title run ins, we just got on with it, we didn't speak a word. This arrogance is showing on the pitch, I can almost guarentee now that weve fucked up today, we will go on another good run. It was the same in Mancinis last season, best team in the league, but our arrogance and half hearted performances have killed us.

We've got some massive decisions to make in the summer. If pellegrini was to go, I want to see a manger come in and txiki to take a step back with the transfers dealings.

There is a fundamental issue here with your argument regardless of how much any given player costs the first requirement of any footballer as Barca and Pool today is workrate. If Liverpool players and Barca players can close down space then so can ours but were not. The issues with the team are fundamental and that is down to the manager no one else, if Messi can run his fucking socks off without the ball then so the fucking hell can we but we don't

So pissed off with with Pellegrini want him gone and to think we got rid of a manager because the players didn't like to be shouted at, there would be blood on the fucking walls under Mancini and if the little darlings don't like it then they have to go.

Simione or bring Bobby back, and if half a dozen transfer requests go in then so be it because most of those players are stealing a fucking living

The players did this sort of thing under Mancini (especially on Merseyside) and he never found a cure. Whatever happens on the managerial front, we have to make some serious changes to the playing personnel.

Sacking Pellers would not exactly warm my heart. This would.

I don't know why Pellegrini takes so much of the rap. How many times have the so called Champions turned in pathetic performances this season? Too many to mention.

If Pellegrini made a mistake it was in standing by players like Kompany who have been way below the level required.

If I was Pellegrini now, I'd be be making those changes now. Drop Kompany. Hart captain. Play Bony and Navas!

He plays them Marvin so he is to blame.

Kompany and Zabaleta should bit have been dropped this season but neither have.

Not having Navas on the bench today was a very weird decision especially when Lampard was on it.

Bony looks lost so far.

Be careful, I said this after the barca match and I got shit for it, at least I know someone's on the same page as me.

Mangala did okay today.

Here's the thing with him - the tactics are making Vinny and Zabaleta look shit, and we know that's not the case, so how can we judge Mangala? If Kompany was in his first season he would be getting similarly slaughtered. Zabaleta is having his worst season since the Hughes days. Possibly since before he joined us.

Mangala under Mancini would be viewed very differently for one simple reason - Mancini knew how to setup a defence.

Holistic fraud.

Mangala is fucking shit too.

If Mangala was fucking shit how fucking shit was Kompany?

Even worse. Just making a point that we spent 32mil on this guy & one of the players who's expected to take us forward over the next decade. He's terrible.

Overpriced? Yes.

But think back to how fucking dreadful Martin was in the first half of the season.

Remember Mangalas game against Chelsea he was insane, he lacks consistency thats all
