Manuel Pellegrini

Carlo Ancelotti (Real Madrid), Antonio Conte (Juventus), Pep Guardiola (Bayern Munich), Jurgen Klinsmann (United States), Joachim Low (Germany), Jose Mourinho (Chelsea), Manuel Pellegrini (Manchester City), *Alejandro Sabella (Argentina), Diego Simeone (Atletico Madrid), Louis van Gaal (Netherlands/Manchester United).

Whilst it is of course nice for Pellegrini to be nominated, there are some odd choices in that bunch. Ancelotti won the CL and Copa del Rey so you would assume he is favourite, Low took Germany to the World Cup so he'll be up there. Pellegrini won two trophies in his first season in England, so did Pep and Simeone won La Liga. Mourinho? Don't remember him doing anything. Surely Wenger should be in it over him for winning the FA Cup?Would be great if Pellegrini was in the top 3, he can kick on and win it next year!

Manuel is a dead-man walking.

4-4-2 was one of the reasons why Mancini was sacked/City underperformed, and will be the reason for Manuel's departure.

4-4-2 was the formation that won us the league and cup last season you wally

No it didn't. 4-4-2 nearly cost us the league last season. It was only when he was forced to play 1 up front cos of injuries to Aguero, Negredo & Jovetic that we started to dominate and win games.

Everton away & Palace away being the prime examples.

Nominated for Coach of the Year at the Ballon D'or...

That means absolutely nothing. Luis Suarez was by far the best player in the Prem last season and he's missed out on nominations. Mourinho has been nominated and he won fuck all.

You ask me whose team I would prefer to watch, I'd say Pellegrini, you ask me who is the more consistently effective manager, I'd say Mourinho.

It's simple. I'd rather lose playing the way we play than win playing the way Mourinho does.

If you want to make a case for his two points in Manchester being good ones, be my guest. You won't be alone. However I stand by what I posted. From the positions they were in both points were poor and both ended up a point because of Mourinho's negative mindset as much as anything else.

So they're sitting 6 points clear having played both us and the rags away from home and undefeated in both and they're poor results?

I wish we were so poor to get a point at home to Stoke and away to West Ham instead of getting (deservedly) beat.

They should be 10 clear. Mourinho fucked up. No big deal. He won the league last season. Oh wait. Still the season before he did the - oh wait.

Still. They're already 14/15 champions in October. Impressive from Mou.

Ahh right so you're sensibly forgetting the 30 PL games we played before we 'started to dominate'

Do you not remember the 20 odd game unbeaten run over December - February :)
