Every deal is a risk whatever the fee, Arsenal have just given us 80m for 2 players, no guarantee they will be good deals, sh1t happens, some transfer failures simply don't add up.

When Mendy signed I would say 99% of our fan base were excited by the signing.

Mendy was excellent in those early games before he did his ACL. We looked unplayable going forward. After his second major injury he barely looked like a Championship player...and the other issue had not yet surfaced. The left back position has been a problem for us for years.
