I don't see there being any bad blood between City and Brighton supporters. However I don't see Brighton being an option for any of our outstanding young players going forward.

I always thought Brighton would be a good option given the style of football, Mcatee/Delap for example would have been good for them but those type of options are no longer likely.

Like elsewhere in life if someone is difficult to deal with for whatever reason, next time you will go to someone different
Reckon? Business is business, these guys don't get to be so rich and successful if they let grudges get in the way. By all accounts Bloom and Benham hate each other after Benham left Blooms company and took loads of proprietary information with him and set up a competing company. Bloom never goes in the directors box at Brentford and always joins the fans in the away end. Didn't stop them selling Maupay to us though.

Didn't think McAtee and Delap were for sale, but if they were, and we offered the highest price, would City really say no because we didn't accept City's offer for Cucu? Seems far fetched.

I'm confused.

With Sky Sports and Fabrizio Romano saying he's going to Chelsea and Brighton putting out an official statement that he's not going anywhere....WTF is actually happening now?
It's probably pretty much done, Brighton just won't finalize it before they get the player from Chelsea that they want. That way Chelsea wont be able to back out after they signed Cucurella.

Bang on this.

I've always wondered what FFP actually is now. They say it's spend what you earn, but you're watching Chelsea and Barcelona spending their debt loans, with the latter still owing players millions of pounds in salaries. It's absolutely crackers, it really is! How it is allowed that you can sell your revenue for the next 25 years and spend that money to load debt on top of huge debt (in Barcelona's case) is beyond me. No doubt they'll be on a fiddle over the next 25 years to somehow get their hands on the future revenue they've sold!

FFP was brought in to keep the Cartel clubs at the top, and prevent "State owned" clubs like City and Newcastle benefiting. Tebas has too much to say when City bring Haaland in, but when Barcelona are buying superstar after superstar whilst being in 2 billion worth of debt, and owing players 13m in wages - he keeps quiet. It's mind-boggling!
FFP was never about stopping debt (as long as you can afford the commercial loan repayments you're fine), it was always about stopping City from outspending the European G14 elite clubs & threatening their seats at the top table.

The present crazy situations at Barça, Real, ManUre, Juvé & Chelsea prove exactly that. Up to their bollocks in debt & without so much as an FFP tickle on the horizon. City, zero debt but always the first name on everyone's lips regarding inflation in football & needing to be financially reined in... :-|

If Chelsea do end up getting Cucurella.
And Ben Chillwell being there already could one make a case for City going for Chilwell and putting a bid in?

Sure he was injured but a decent player for sure. Thoughts? And premier league ready.

No to Chillwell for numerous reasons
