Listening to peps press conference just now Seems pep be happy to go with what we have unless silva is sold if not looking at the January window!
Didn't seem like that at all to me. Seemed like he very much wants a LB - even stated the days left to get one. The board will know getting one is a priority.

I can only echo what others are saying. Just imagine the negative feedback City would have got in the media if they'd paid that for a full back with Cucurella's profile (one very good season in the PL, no CL experience whatsoever, extremely limited international experience).
Chelsea must be going out of their minds trying to get back into the argument with us and Liverpool.

Wasn't giving cast iron guarantees of spunking millions on the squad & redeveloping Stamford Bridge one of the key components in winning the race to buy Chelsea?

At least Bowley or whatever the fuck he's called is sticking to his word... )(

No way we go into the season with that. No chance. I refuse to believe it.

I think we will. It was obvious we needed another cb when Kompany left, it was obvious we needed a striker when Aguero left and now it's obvious we need a left back as Zinchenko left.

In the previous two times we waited a season or two. I think we'll do the same here.

The club hopes Pep can work his magic filling those positions with midfielders. It's worked so far in the league.

I just think it's a step too far when we try to compete on all 4 trophies, it leaves us short with injuries in the latter stages of the league and champions league.

Hopefully youth will get a chance at LB
I think Pep really rates Josh WE
He’s had plenty of time to look at the lad and is clearly comfortable with him in the squad
That can only be a good thing

If he turns out to be a brilliant player for them then £62m will seem a good investment.

With Pep's comments today I think it was Cucurella or nothing.

I think we're going into the season with no actual specialist left back and only two fullbacks.

The squad is getting stretched even thinner this season.
I didn't take that from his conference, I understood that they were still working on targets and that there was two weeks left. Did he not say that??

And that would be really, really shit. PL champions going into a season with 2 full backs.. doesn't make sense
