I wasn't trying to undermine your information. Some people seem to have taken my post the wrong way. I merely meant "clarification" on if we had had it posted here that an offer had been made and rejected as I couldn't quite remember. It seems that some took that as me implying I didn't believe our ITK; that wasn't what I meant. I thought it was clear I was stating it was perfectly possible Bloom was lying (as he may well be expected to do in the circumstances). If you did pass on that an offer was made and rejected, of course I believe you did so in good faith and believing the information to be genuine.

I don't think that and nothing I posted implies that I do. Just because Bloom isn't "obliged to update fans" doesn't mean he wasn't "lying" in his answer. In fact it makes it more likely he was. No idea why you took offence to my use of the word. I wasn't using it about anyone in City or on this forum.

Goodness me, a lot of people do seem to have been very sensitive about my very short, and as I thought entirely non-controversial post just asking if people could remember clearly what an ITK had already posted here. I read this forum for a long time before I joined as I only ever felt like lurking because it seemed very cliquey. Having joined, I still hardly post for the same reason. I guess it's best to go back to that.

Yeah, but it's a bit weird opening an account on another club's main forum just to post four posts essentially of the same tenor, which add absolutely nothing to the discussion, don't you think? I speak as someone who has accounts on three other forums, which I (very) occasionally drop in on.

Is he actually any good ? the only time I saw him play was the last 30 minutes against spurs near the end of the season and he was pants, looked poor defensively...
 
This deal and the Ake deal are at the same stage as far as I can see. Leaks that the player has been contacted and happy with the offer proposed.

Now waiting for the clubs to put in an official bid, which will be initially rejected, another £5m added, media spin about holding out for the right money. No need to sell, blah blah blah. Then both deals announced on Monday
 
What I think we did yesterday is position ourselves in anticipation for your bid. He is saying he sees it as a compliment that you are interested in one of our players, we don't want to sell but we are not one of the 3 or 4 clubs in the world that can reject certain bids. If you bid that figure and the player wants to go we will give it a big consideration.

He has been completely honest as usual. 100% clear in our position. Then he says there has been no bid and just because somebody who must be pretty reliable to get his reputation on here says you have, all of a sudden hes a liar. Nobody, no Journalist no Romano I repeat nobody else is reporting this rejected bid yet it is someone who has first hand knowledge that is lying and the person who has second/ third hand info that isn't mistaken???? What a weird world we live in.
 
Jack Gaughan is the most reliable City source for transfers atm. Even he is saying that City WILL make an approach. Which means that so far we haven't. And the Brighton chairman said they haven't had any bids yet. He has no reason to lie. So any info about rejected bids etc....are clearly not true.

Would you trust a proffesional poker player to tell the truth if he wasn't your owner. It maybe is true that we haven't put a bid in, but its also been reported that we have agreed terms with Cucurella which could also be rubbish.
As for Romano, he's a charlatan who's he's up as some transfer god. I'd go & check his tweet history & see if you can find a transfer that he has revealed that is his own work & he hasn't retweeted somebody else work with 'here we go'

Im realistic to the fact he will be a City player this season. As i said before i take it as a compliment a big club like City want him. Hopefully we cab get a replacement in. In response to @pride in battle he is better going forward but still a excellent defender who tfacks back with alot of pace. He did ay some games as a CB, but his strength is on the left as a wing back.

Out of intrest it looks like Ake is going, how did u rate him, to me he never looked good enougj for you and was suprised when u signed him

Ake: never going to get in front of fit and in-form Diaz, Stones or Laporte… so was an odd move and he’s had his fair share of injuries which has hampered his ability to state his case. For me always looked a little small to be a modern day centre half but he mostly did a good job when required. If the quoted £50M is true then like sterling it represents great business as we could easily get a defender in for cover

Are you saying Cucrella featured at CH sometimes for you guys ? Thought he was excellent at home/away last season against city

Ake was class. Most of us will be gutted to see him go.
