Doubt we will sell without replacing him, as well as a left back. Still think it leaves room for Zinchenko as well though.

Alan I thought Cancelo was a right back helping out on the left either way we need a left of right back, the unspeakable ain't coming back ;-)
However I do like Cucealla , I think he would fit in well.

I think it depends on how Pep lines up this season. If he plays more with a 4-2-3-1 then that means the fullbacks would push up. Cancelo isn't ideal for doing this on the left to create width. So possibility for Zinch to rotate with Cucurella if he comes while Cancelo rotating with Walker.

Saying this though Pep won't go with 1 formation all season. He'll go back and forth between a 4-3-3 and 4-2-3-1 depending on the opposition.

Zinchenko ball retention is outstanding not just for us but accross Europe. He doesn’t have any flashy attributes but his (low risk) dribbling is also outstanding.

His technique and passing range are well above adequate too imho, way above league average.

I was comparing him to the rest of our squad in truth.
He would start in most prem sides

Will Walker or Cancelo be happy with playing less minutes?

It works fine as long as they would, otherwise Cancelo will be playing left back.

I’d like to see Walker play less and against the sides we need extreme pace against. Keep him fresher and hopefully he’s luckier with injuries too.

I doubt he’ll play 4-2-3-1 much apart from the biggest games and even then Bernardo/Phillips will be a hybrid 6/8, switching pendent on where the ball is and how we need to beat the press.

He will, at times play 2 up front too, which is where I’d see more advanced fullbacks coming in.
 
Zinch will be in the same boat as Ake

If someone bids our asking price he will be gone

We don't keep players here against their will and he will be 3rd choice LB this season

Like Ake, happy if he stays but if someone is bidding above his value, he won't be a massive miss

Only if Zinchenko is also pushing for the move, if he doesn't want to leave even his price valuation is already met City will not sell him respecting player wishes.

Can’t see this happening now it’s gone on too long and he’s away to Portugal with Brighton on a pre season tour, he wouldn’t of went if the deal was close to being completed
