No bid so far, according to Brighton’s owner. Doesn’t sound like this is close to happening at the moment.
They wouldn't get a bid until we had the money from the Sterling and Ake sales (as we seem to be going for zero net spend this window).Wow has Dr Crippen bought BHA
We won’t need permission from Brighton. We would have already talked to the agent and personal terms would have been pretty much sorted. Every club works like this these days. They wouldn't get a bid until we had the money from the Sterling and Ake sales (as we seem to be going for zero net spend this window).
I'd be much more interested to know whether BHA have been approached by us to be given permission to speak to the player regarding personal terms, and whether or not they have given us that permission or not.
That would be much more revelatory, IMO.
Can I just say, this is the biggest load of rubbish going. If we turned down an offer then he would have either said so or said nothing. If you listen to what he says then you will notice he makes it clear that we don't want to sell but if a bid comes in that matches the bid in his head he will accept it. If as you say we can't be seen selling our best player then he would just say he isn't for sale no matter what (after all he is a liar according to you).I think it’s pretty timely Bloom coming out with this comment now, shortly after them turning down a bid.
Brighton still haven’t sold their season ticket allocation (which are now on open sale), so they can’t be seen to be selling off their best players, especially given that Bissouma was sold way below market value, and so far they have only brought in a couple of kids.
