Well that's not negotiating could cost us more in the long run. We definitely need a LB.
What's our valuation is it reasonable.
We have money. They have a player that wants out.

I’d say that’s a fairly good negotiating position.

In addition, no-one else seems to be offering money for him, and Brighton could get 2 or 3 in for the money being talked about in the press (which I think is wildly overinflated!).

Hope your right, but they really don't want to sell. The player wants the move but so did Kane last year.

Then, let him stay and stew.

Do you know the story of The Chinese Farmer?

When I want to buy something, I pay what I’m willing and not a penny more.

Businesses are set up to sell things. My life is set up to earn money I can spend on what I want, at the price I am willing to pay. In the end, it comes down to “I have money, you have stuff. You probably want my money more than I want your stuff, because I can usually get your stuff elsewhere. Now, do you want this much money or not?”

If not, then no deal. Simples. Maybe.

That would be a bit extreme. I can’t remember the last time that happened.

For us? Mahrez. Kane as well if you believe the reports, neither was signed in that window.

No one this end has said anything since Saturday, anything could have happened since then, but Marc is a long way from striking at the moment.

If there is no official offer then going by the Ben White transfer we are not going to lift a finger to help you guys. It will be down to you lot and his agent to do the running around.

It sounds like you will want him by the weekend but I can't see that happening as he is happily in Portugal until then
Don't know why you're arsed, I've seen it many times at City in my time. He'll either go or stay, I've never felt the need to let everyone know about their love for the club. It's just a job, same with our players, but we currently attract more because we challenge for trophies.
We've also just had to sell players we didn't particularly want to sell, that's football

You forgot the last part - they don't need the money and where would they get another good left back? And if you say that's easy plenty around then let us go and buy one of the 'plenty around'.

I don’t think he will strike at all. It looks like we have just put an offer in so let’s see what happens now.
We will want this sorted out quickly, as would you. If there has been a bid in the last few hours/ day then we will give you an answer quickly, but if it doesn't meet our evaluation (or very close) i don't think we would give you a hint what our valuation is. If you walk away then until Cucurella starts to play up (there really isn't any sign of that) we will be happy.

What is interesting is that although Cucurella has stated that he couldn't turn you lot down, that doesn't mean he would be unhappy to stay Brighton like a lot of people on here seem to think. He is our player, we see him every day, and we are the only club in the country to have a full time mental health and wellbeing department. We are therefore well equipped to keep an eye on his happines.

Brighton looks like a well run club to be fair. But the truth is, like so many teams that can really only dream of competing in the top 4 (or maybe 6) they will always be a bad card away from a relegation battle.

The good card they drew was Graham Potter. I am a huge admirer of his, but unfortunately for Brighton fans, one of the top teams will probably be too and will snag him before many more seasons are done.
