I was going to say something similar and maybe a player going there like we did with Leeds.

It's like buying a house, a new or used car, anything where haggling is involved, the buyer will always go in with a lower offer just to test the waters. Buying a player is no diffferent. I doubt any club, even Bloom and Brighton have gone straight in at the asking price for a player.

Cuckoo is tied to a long contract that he can do nothing about. Like Levy and Kane, if City won't pay close to Bloom's asking price for Cucko, Cuckoo will stay at Brighton for at least another season. Don't expect Cuckoo to go public and kick up a fuss about it, as he won't.

Might convince Bloom to drop the asking price a bit though. Hopefully we may pay somewhere in the middle around £40m. Or offer a player exchange someone like Delap
