Bargain for us but more than doubles what Brighton paid for him so I'm sure they'll be happy with that. Works out all round. Hopefully it can get done!

price depends on rarity/demand. Full-back is now a highly demanding position requiring the same level of pace, football nous and ball skills as the rest of the out-fielders. Some posters still cling to "old school stereotypes, where "defending" out-ranks everything, no need for fancy-dan shit". Pep disagrees, single purpose players are obsolete on his shopping list, believes everyone on the pitch should be a complete player, able to adapt to every situation, be it covering team-mates, timing runs forward, when to act as decoy, when to change the tempo and more. This means that a player who fulfills these abilities are rare and therefore expensive.
If PG believes Cucurella is one then i dont give a fuck about the price.
Strikers are the lead singers, full-backs are often regarded as "Ringos", as in ten-a-penny make-weights. Unfairly imo, time will tell.

I'd let them have both.
It was a huge mistake by Pep and Txiki that they have even considered signing Mendy. Not every player who played under Bielsa is ready top-level material.Not as reassuringly expensive as Mendy

No it wasn't because most of the issues with the signing were unpredictable.It was a huge mistake by Pep and Txiki that they have even considered signing Mendy. Not every player who played under Bielsa is ready top-level material.

Let them have both would be brilliant for their development
