Just pay the fucking money. I cant go a whole season of watching Cancelo lose the ball up the pitch trying to be clever and them doing us on the break.
How can you blame cancelo for that ?

Maybe you can say he wasn’t that good defensively and left Salah with too much time on the ball but I am sure walker was worse in terms of losing the ball forward.

not sure why we ok to offer 40m maybe with some addons on top and not 50m.

we overspent so much on Grealish, at least 30% probably, hard to play this image we will walk away if valuation is obscene.

Also Cucurella was happy to sign a 5 year deal without any optional clause built into, players and agents either need to be clever these days thinking of all options or get themselves into situations like this.
he was not so brave to tell Brighton to put a 30-40m guaranteed buyout fee last summer was he?

if we want him, lets pay the 50, maybe 45+5, or move onto plan B. we do need a LB either way. we needed one before Zinchenko left imo, especially now.

So, my reasoning: is there a better Lb we can Target next year? If yes we shouldn't pay for cucurella. But if no I think we should pay for cucurella . He is attacking FB and good defensively. He knows pep's style. We need attacking depth in wide Position. If cancelo doesn't work we have no one to bring in. At least last season we had zinchenko
Presuming there is a great left back available next year, what are you doing about left back position for this season?

Christ. Where to start, can I have some of whatever you are drinking/smoking?
I am being serious there isn't much difference between Cancelo (who hasn't been playing in his natrual right back position for most of his City career) and TAA
