2 year loans for delap and mcatee would like up really nicely with all of our aging players getting closer to retiring.
If they can impress on loan, then Gundogan can be replaced directly by McAtee and Delap can hopefully be a rotation striker for Haaland, as we move Alvarez all around the attacking spots.

Players are under no legal obligation to leave if another club activates a buyback/release clause in their contract.except you can’t with a buy back. It’s the same as when Madrid wanted Angelino and we stepped in to exercise the option.

What are you talking about? The only thing a buy-back clause means is that if we put in a bid on the agreed fee the club we sold him to have to accept. The club who bought the player can obviously still accept bids from other clubs, and the player has no obligation to sign with us. Not that I think it will matter much in this particular case, since we are a more attractive option than almost any other club for players who are looking to step up from Southampton.except you can’t with a buy back.
