The benefit of the doubt? The season started yesterday and we have 2 senior fullbacks in the squad. There is no "doubt" about that, thats a fact. Do I think we will sign a fullback before the transfer window closes? Of course, it would be insane not to and I'm not suggesting that Txiki wont sign a fullback. Do I think whoever we sign will probably be able to do a good job for us? Yes, most of the players we sign does, and there is plenty of options out there who could do a good job for us. That does however not have anything to do with that I think this should have been sorted before the season starts. Any player we end up signing would probably have been possible to sign before the season started if we had worked a bit faster and been better prepared. Considering, like I said, we only have 2 senior fullbacks, getting this sorted before the season started should have been a priority. In my opinion.Maybe, just maybe, you could give Txixi and our front office the benefit of the doubt until the transfer window actually plays out rather than fall apart with every countermove in the fourth acquisition of what has been a stellar transfer window to date.
FFS, let it play out just a little without hysterics.
