Three years down the track you go to buy another car worth £7250, and the dealer adds another £2k to the price tag because he knows you'll pay what he wants.
As proven here it’s all down to the seller. They value their asset and sell at what they want. If someone isn’t prepared to pay it usually the next person will

Doesn’t mean we won’t ever make mistakes. League starts this weekend
No, but at the moment we don't know if we've made a mistake or not.
He's only played one season in the PL who knows if that was a fluke.
I think the club are right to think that £50m is a risk.

Cancelo will play LB, maybe it's not ideal but we know he can play there.

We are not after gomez and gaya. Our next target will be sosa and grimaldo. Grimaldo is cheaper. If we get them, for say ,25M we can sell them for 50-55M like we did Ferran and get a lot of profit. If you buy for 50M , you are pretty much reaching the ceiling already
It was just to point out there are La Masia or players that would be quick fits to the system if the 'Spanish' angle was the main kicker. I can find links to about 7 different left backs from the last few months, god knows what the list order is.

Lol this is getting nutty. This guy is nothing special, we should be walking away from this. Spending 50 mil on a guy who's career trajectory looks like this : Barca -> getafe - > brighton -> doesnt look good on paper. Hell, when I've seen him play for brighton a handful of times, he didnt look great then either.

Good lord, I know he's a good player but is he really that good? Like so good that there are no other options out there to replace him? If that's the case then we are done! Totally abandoned and forsaken by the gods of football, throw 100m and Bernardo at Brighton and make this deal happen asap!

The hype is super strong with this one. Seriously, get a grip .
I've always said LB is the hardest position to recruit for. The best LBs are natural lefties and have decent pace. Add in attacking and defensive quality and its really hard to find decent players that fit that mould. In other positions you can get away with a mix of qualities but a LB has to have it all.

Over the years the position we have always struggled with is LB. Dont think we have had a genuinely great one in my lifetime.

I am sure the City employees have worked out their transfer strategy, and they have more to win or lose than anyone on here. Another month to go to the end of the transfer deadline, and we already have three established players capable of playing in that position. Calm down.
