Marc Cucurella

We obviously have a valuation, probably based on his only successful season being as part of a back 5. Like Kane we won’t go beyond that valuation.

Txiki getting a lot of stick but I’d rather a bit of short term pain in line with a strategy. Not moving on our valuation is not a bad message to be reinforcing. The alternative is carnage.

Don't agree, the season starts in 5 days, or started 2 days ago depending on your perspective.

Manchester City should have a left back at the start of the season.
What if we get one before Saturday...does that make it better?

But maybe we should have moved on a week ago then mate?

Tony Bloom playing poker here, and at that he is better than Txiki.
they can easily say they rate Cucurella as much as White, especially if rivals do come up and offer the asking price 50m without much fuss. if that is the case he would have been an idiot to accept 40m from us weeks ago.
also Cucurella happily signed a 5 year deal to sign for Brighton without any release clause in his contract. that kind of tells me he was content with possibly spending that 5 years there or he has a shit agent. or just his Getafe salary was a fraction of whatever Brighton could afford...

Pep was intrested in him last season so i doubt he is suddenly going to be shit.
You still here? Chelsea have a forum you know... (just kidding)

Pep may have been interested (I have no idea on that) but Pep being interested in a player doesn't mean they've suddenly turned world class after 12 months...

We know Brighton value him at £50m and fair do's - you can stick any price tag on any player you want but price is not the same as value - it would be a huge risk for us at £30m but an insane risk at £50m IMHO

Yeh that's showing them. In the meantime we'll be leakng goals down the left for fun . But at least we'll know we saved a few bob.

I assume pep and angelino didn’t get on? Just thinking his delivery now we have Haaland might be an option?

There’s another month of the window available! Plenty of time to bring someone in. Cucurella would have been great but you can’t win ‘em all. Very confident that a LB will come in.
Maybe this is our new subterfuge transfer strategy. We now know full well anyone we appear to be SERIOUSLY after will get marked up and the selling club will dig their heals in. Seems we've seen this dance before- and maybe we have the Dias answer in an LB waiting in the wings to swoop in. I can only hope so since we sold Zinchenko pretty nonchalantly... unless that is Pep is drawing up a genius system of a "doubly deployed 2" or "false 3".

I see we are taking the Cucu situation well then -:)

1 game where the team was not up to speed and all hell has broken loose.

Let me guess:

The club is shit
Txiki useless
How could we sell Zin?
Pay the fucking money
Best window to worst window
Anyone now linked is inferior to a player we had never heard of not 1 year ago.

Why City? Fucking why?

As you were peeps!
