BHA v City season before last was corrupt all right. Attwell that night needs looking at. I know fuck all about cooking, but I know when the chicken tastes right. It was incredible.
Wasn’t just Atwell, it started from their manager instructing them to kick us off the park and leaving a little bit on knowing players would not be wanting to risk missing possibly the biggest game of their careers, the players duly obliged and the crowd clearly approved, Atwell was complicit.
Never had a problem with Potter, Brighton, their fans, in fact some of my favourite none City players have been with Brighton ( Malcolm Poskett anyone ?) but after that they can fuck off, Pep knew exactly what was going on, not saying he’s a good loser, none of the top managers are, but he rightly called Potter out on that in the politest possible way saying words to the effect “we won’t forget that”, well neither will I.

Maybe if the Goldstone ground would have been 'Council Owned' then maybe all those years at Gillingham and Withdean wouldnt have happened... But No..A greedy owner sold it from under them.where the North stand used to be is now a Burger king and Nandos car park.

The common denominator with these fans who come on here an act like rags scousers is those area’s are full of fans who second team is there home local team!

In other words fcuking sad glory hunters….
True, there are many people in Brighton and Hove who see us as a second team, these are mainly Arsenal or Spurs fans first then Brighton 2nd, they even turn up for these games with half and half scarves. Hardly glory hunters, however there is 1 pub in Brighton that has been taken over by allways the victims lot. When they are in champions league action it is taken over by fake scousers. Hopefully if we can establish ourself in the premier league more youngsters will turn against the family and start supporting the Albion.

I hope you are right on both counts.

As the BBC pundit Danny Murphy announced with pride “the way to beat City is to leave a foot in”. What a disgrace he is the scouse gimp.
Think it was also that brummie bird Karen thingymijig who was trying to glorify Brighton's savagery

Peschisolido

Slag of the highest order…. Can’t stand the Tory, sycophant ****

Edit, all Karen’s are cunts, even if it wasn’t her (:
Think he means Karen Carney ex women's footballer, not Karren (Peschisolido) Brady of The Apprentice/West Ham fame.

Can i just ask why you think Brighton fans are plastic. Before promotion we were selling out the ground before promotion with a season ticket waiting list.

If you are going to add before the new stadium we were only getting 9,000 attendances, thats because the Withdean only held that much.

Groundsharing at Gillingham and 10 years at Withdean would lose most clubs generations of new fans, but like all fan bases im sure you will find some supporters will also follow other teams.
I never said your entire fan base was plastic. I know, having lived in Brighton since college age, that the amount of ‘die hard’ United and Liverpool fans that are now season ticket holders at Brighton is comical.

Nobody has anything against Brighton. I was a bit fed up when we lost 4 nowt in the cup at the Goldstone Ground. It didn't rain on us in that open end. The problem with the south in general is it's rag and dipper barring hardcore London clubs like West Ham.

Cheers.

Yes i was at that game, the aeay section in the north east oart of the Goldstone.. that was the second round of FA cup, beat liverpool away next round. 1983, if only Smith had scored in the final. I think it was a couple of years later we signed Joe Corrigan.

Over the years theres been alot of playrs who played for both teams.
Neil Macnab,
Michael Robinson

Paul Dickov the 2 loans Razack and i cant think of the other . And may be Cucu.

Cheers.

Brighton was not hip and trendy then. It was a seaside town they forgot to close down.

Cheers.

I drank in Atkinsons house due to my bird at the time on the Wednesday before that final. He wasn't there. And Smith must score
