I joined this board to give those who have never seen Cucu play a guide to the type of player he is. I hope that i have done thaat in a considerate way, if i have offended anyone i appologise that is not my intension or to be snide about your club. At the end of the day i am a BHAFC fan first and then a football fan in general who likes to see and hear from other fans.
So going slightly off topic and just curiouse, othen than Pep who do u regard as either ur best manager or favourite manager.
As others have said;

1. Roberto Mancini. He just seemed to get us from day one. He said all the right things. He promised to take the banner counting the years we’d not won a trophy down from the Stratford End. He did. We won 6-1 at Old Trafford. We won the league in the most astonishing way. He stood up to Ferguson and won. A bit of a twat by all accounts but as a supporter, I loved him and would’ve backed him had we not made it 3-2 against QPR. I was doubtful when he came in but he well and truly won me over.

2. Brian Horton - I was approaching the end of my school days and was travelling all over the country to watch City. Rösler, Walsh, Quinn, Summerbee and Beagrie all played occasionally and it was a sight to behold. Glorious at home but a bit naïve away. At Maine Road, beating Tottenham with Klinsmann, Barmby, Dumitrescu and the rest 5-2 was a highlight. Beating Champions elect Blackburn away 3-2 on a rainy Monday night was a strange one. We didn’t know whether to laugh or cry behind that goal.

3. Joe Royle - dragged us back from the depth and gave us our pride back. It ended a bit sour but the back to back promotions were probably the happiest days of my football supporting life. Wembley 99 and Blackburn 2000 were the highlights but watching Shaun Goater rattle them in week after week was fantastic.

4. Kevin Keegan - I’m not his biggest fan and he annoyed the fuck out of me at times but I can’t deny that Championship winning team of 2002 was a delight to watch. If they played Pep’s City tomorrow, they’d either lose 10-1 or win a 6-5 classic. Ali Benarbia - I’ve never annoyed the missus as much as I did upon my return from Hillsborough after a 6-2 win. I was as pissed as a fart and continuously chanting “Ali! Ali! Ali!” in the kitchen. “Shut up you dickhead, you’ll wake the baby up.”

5. Barry Fry - the one that got away. I wanted him in during the season that we named 5 managers. My slightly lager affected thinking was that if we were going to pot, we might as well have a good laugh doing it.

If you think negotiating is bullying then I dread to think what you went through at high school.
Thats not negotiating. Thats trying to unsettle a player. I'm sure your lot knew we would never accept that, If it was negotiating it would be the lowest amount you think we would accept.

You want 50 but will accept just over 40. We’ll pay just over 40.

If we go in at 40, we have nowhere to go. We’re basically telling you that we don’t want to go to 50.

50 is too much for us but 30 is not enough for you. The truth is somewhere in the middle and we’d rather it be as close to 40 as possible.

Somehow, I don’t think you demanding 50 is bullying. He’s already unsettled because he wants to play for the best team in the country under the best manager in the world. Us bidding 30 million wasn’t the first he’ll have heard about a possible move to City. The low bid is really nothing to do with him, just us setting out our station that we don’t want to go to 50.

Give your fanny a wipe.

You are bullying us. How can you buy Ake for £40m and Phillips £45m then think £30m is ok for Cucurella
I didn't say you DO, it was an IF.

And hey, you know how negotiations work, esp. if Bloom never sets an asking price. Why should we open high if we don't even know what you'd happily accept?
All good, next bid to follow (or it already is quietly agreed and you look for a replacement).

We’d have started lower in negations for those transfers too.

On the flip side of the same argument.
£51m for Haaland how can Cucurella be worth the same?
Leeds accepted your first offer. and you paid Haalands buy out clause. If he didn't have one you wouldn't have got him for £51m.

Fair play to him and his agent. They are really pushing for the move.

I have said on this thread it will be the agent that starts pushing. He did it at Barca it’s why there’s a rocky relationship between Barca and Cucurellas agent.

I'm sure its not agreed yet. Starting low yes but a low bid you think will be accepted.

Unsettle a player? He desperately wants to come to us you do understand that yeah? We're not the sort of club to play games to try and unsettle someone. We do our homework first and talk with the players representatives to check if they want to join us. Only then do we talk money.

Surely not. Txiki is aware of your good cards - except the player wishes to leave, that would change things.

If you were the player wouldn't you speak out what you wish for
at such an incredible opportunity?

You need to get your head around this. City lowballing isn’t bullying. We know he wants to come so are feeling your club up to see what we can get away with.

City know that 30 million isn’t enough just as much as I knew that asking to shag Jenny Clapham on the night I met her after the youth club disco wasn’t on the cards. She was drunk though and did want a bit of attention. Asking for a shag was outrageous. She wanted to keep her dignity, I wanted a bit of action. We both got our way with a bit of fingering, maintained our pride and walked away happy.

We don’t want to bum you, just a bit of fingering.
