Fair play to brighton and fair play to us Chelsea have been robbed 62mil for a guy who is behind alonso in the Spain team and has had 1 good season.
But who is up and coming, improving all the time, a scarce commodity as a good left footed LB, has played almost 50 games for Spain at various, progressive levels so far, is 7 years younger than Alonso etc etc.
Anything can be reflected any way.

For the price of a new accessory for a £400m super-yacht, we may regret this one.

They have just had a £1.5bn injection though. Those fees, Cucurella aside, have been wiped out.
They haven’t been wiped out, they’re amortised expenditure that will still be on the books over the length of the contracts. This season spend on players and wages is a maximum of 90% of turnover, 80% next season, then settled at 70% from the season afterwards.

As with any player we don't sign, I hope he crashes and burns.
Harsh - Especially in this occasion, Cucurella did nothing wrong in my eyes.
He certainly did more than Kane by putting in a transfer request.

He made all the right noises and acted professionally.

Not his fault that the move didn’t get completed to City

Seems a decent lad and I don’t have any animosity towards him

Will be interesting to see how Brighton get on this season having let 2 of their best players leave with a squad that lacks real depth. They finished 9th last season a respectable position

Listening to peps press conference just now Seems pep be happy to go with what we have unless silva is sold if not looking at the January window!

We get so indignant about our own players fees - I think some managed to get Grealish down to 65M - yet so eager to inflate other team's players.

What’s this about mate?

He’s costing Chelsea £55m up front plus £7m add ons - that’s £62m.

And I’m not sure I’ve ever seen anyone try and claim Grealish went for any less than £100m - it’s pretty clear we paid his full release clause.

It was a question. Not a snide tone at all.
In a discussion with Tolmie he said City use the Media( trusted reporters) when it suits them.
I do not know such things. But most people on the site seem to trust Tolmie as an insider with some knowledge.
I meant the snide tone in the content of the leaks from Brighton..not an attack on your totally reasonable question! The leaks were not factual updates but were essentially mocking City (as Levy did).
