"Hopefully Pep will address this better in the coming season."

I don't understand that comment.

Last season Zinchenko was not in a good place, hardly surprising when your country is getting raped by the Russians, so Pep had zero options with Mendy sat in a cell.

Ake played far more until the end of the season, when it appeared the manager did not trust him despite an injury crisis with defenders.

Sterling's form and performances had fallen off a cliff for the last 2 seasons so again pep had few options.

Grealish was settling in, KDB had major fatigue/injury issues early season, so again Pep had few options.

The signing's made this summer should help considerably, the only potential player we have lost that could come back to haunt us for me is Jesus.

Sterling, Zinch great servants but personally I think we are far stronger with what we now have.
Like I said yesterday, the issues surrounding rotation are around playing our strongest 11 in a dead rubber match against Leipsig & again away at League One opposition in the Carabao Cup.

If our squad players can't even get a game then because Pep wants to "respect the competition", then we have a problem. Most of these players are better than only coming into the side to cover for injuries. In this respect it's understandable why those regularly on the bench would consider their futures.

What was the point of playing such a strong 11 away to Leipsig? We were already through as group winners, so all we achieved was Walker being suspended for 3 CL matches. This is where I hope Pep will address our rest & rotation issues better.

The League Cup I totally agree with you, despite dominating that competition , I would prefer we use it to play our young players or first team squad players needing game time, our first choice players should be nowhere near.

But in saying that Pep is a big believer in momentum, win every game, perform in every game, train hard in every session, and with his achievements I don't think we have any right to question him.

We are a decent LB in having the greatest squad in the clubs history and probably any domestic club side in history.

I agree about momentum, but I know from bitter personal experience the lasting damage caused by burnout whether physical, mental or both.

I just believe our rest & rotation could be managed far better. I agree & disagree with the Carabao Cup. I think it's horses for courses. If we draw a capable team, we play a capable team with academy products included & on the bench.

HOWEVER, playing our strongest 11 against League One opposition makes little sense whether it's about momentum or not. Just my personal opinion.

I can see this transfer being about the 15's.

Brighton bought Cucurella for £15m.

We've offered 2 x £15m for Cucu 12 months later.

Brighton are reportedly looking at Brandon Williams for £15m

Looking at the maths 3 x £15m (£40m × £5m add-ons) might just do it.

Brighton get an English LB with 2 years PL experience for £15m, & double their money on Cucurella leaving a £30m profit.

It's a deal Brighton would be cockahoop with & it's summat I reckon City could swallow.
