Marco Reus

Still don't get why we spend over £30m for Mangala (over £40 if some reports are to be believed) yet could have tested Dortmund's resolve for less than that and gotten Reus.

We needed a quick and strong centre half more than a pacy left winger?

Far too logical. I think we should've signed Reus and played him at CB.

It would take 60million + at the very least to test Dortmund's resolve. They let Lewandowski go on a free rather than cashing in on 27 million on Lewndowski. Reus is even more important than him. They have a shot at the league this year and if they do win the league and go deep in the CL then Reus will probably sign on. Good to see he came back yesterday. I think he is going to have another storming season.

i dont know tbh...last season they had a disaster in injuries too meaning they had to keep lewandowski....this year, well its the choice b/w getting more now and not letting bayern strengthen v being strong now but letting bayern strengthen for less next season.

i think 40-45mil euro might do, and at 50 they'd probably accept. ofcourse, i think reus would only move to a few clubs

They decided to keep Lewandowski before they had the injury crisis. Piszcek was out, but they had no idea Gundogan, Subotic, Hummels, Schmelzer, Bender, Kuba etc would be out for so long.

I think they would turn down virtually anything for Reus this summer. This is a vital year. They win something and there is a good chance that Hummels, Gundogan and Reus really start to believe in the project. Last season they reportedly turned down 40 million. Next season though is likely when Reus will be available very cheap ie 30 million.
