Marco Reus

I think some people here are underestimating just how good Reus is. He was deservedly the Bundesliga player of the year over the likes of Robben, Muller, Lahm and Schweinsteiger. He is arguably top 5 and almost certainly top 10 in the world. If Reus was to come to the Premiership he would not struggle to get into any team and would probably be the best player in the league. If he leaves Dortmund in the summer, which is an IF, because with their new shares and chance to win the league, he may stay. If he leaves he will probably go to Madrid. Personally I think he is the exact player that City need, but he is not leaving this summer and next summer every club in the world will be after him.

I realize Madrid will do Madrid things, but how could they conceivably feature another AM. If anything, I expect an attempt to upgrade Benzema next summer and truly look forward to City kindly telling them to f**k off when asked about Aguero.

Madrid will probably upgrade Benzema, but they need to find a superstar. With Madrid nobody is safe except for Ronaldo. They will want to get the 'biggest' player. They are the club that sold Solari, Cambiasso, Robben, Ozil, Sneijder etc all after having great seasons for them. Di Maria looks like he is next and he was probably one of their top 3 players last season and in my opinion second best after Ronaldo.

Is Reus a little over hyped on here. I know he is an exceptional player but in every thread he's mentioned.

It's like if we sell Richards and Nastisic let's sign reus

Yes Falcao is good but I'd prefer Reus

Barkley would be great but Reus perfect.

No Reus is underrated here. Like I said he was the best player in the Bundesliga last season and is considered by many as Germany's best player. For example Honingstein wrote this about him when he got injured.
On top of other worries, Löw must now make do without Marco Reus, his best attacking midfielder/false No9. The 25-year-old damaged an ankle ligament in an innocuous tackle in the centre-circle and was ruled out the next morning. “A dream has burst from one second to the next,” said the Borussia Dortmund player.

If Reus’s absence has not quite punctured Germany’s dream of a first trophy since Euro 96, it certainly added to what has been a fairly deflating buildup
.

Out of the top leagues in Europe only Di Maria got more assist and I am sure Reus got more goals in a much weaker team, who play less (admittedly in a weaker league).

I agree Reus would be perfect for this City team, who I personally believe sometimes lack a more direct runner, especially when Aguero is injured.

Where exactly is his best position anyway? On the left? Through the middle? Is he even effective on the right?

Agree with all of this.
