In fact I'd hope Pep would try to win the premier with kids taking a big part..... That versus Liverpools spending would be good, it would really put to bed the idea that he buys the titles.

he hasnt even got a visa so he aint def aint ready! ;-)

Pep over the last couple of weeks has been saying that (regarding transfers) they are waiting to see. i take this as waiting for a number if things:
1. how ferna is returnibg from the WC
2. how Gomes performs pre season and with the rest of the squad
3. paper work for gomes.
4. testing the likes of delph etc in that central midfield pos.

if any of that comes up negative then maybe we make a move on someone.
its all a bit last minute but i think that Pep alluded to that frustrstion in his comments about Jougihnio in the press conference yesterday

I think Pep has said several times we only want special players who WANT to join City.
It simply takes some time to find out what such a player really wants, in personal meetings.

Such a last minute transfer without detailed player talks doesn't seem how City do big deals nowadays.

I guess Pep/Txiki have decided to take time to scout and prepare the special player City really want. IMO.

like i said, he did allude to the fact that Jourgihno changed his mind " a liitle late"

now its see what we have to go with ( not enough imho) and if it isnt right we will have a target lined up ( it would be shocking if we didnt have another option if we decided that was needed)
