If Milner is off I would be replacing him with Lopes.

Either way I think he will be at City next year because he is clearly good enough for Premier League football, both physically and technically.

It's just experience that he needs to bring to his game now.

With Silva and Aguero around him he could offer us some real quick dynamism that we currently don't have.

I completely agree Rony showed last season he didn't look out of place in our first team and its a shame he has had such a poor injury record with Lille, if he'd been fit all year he would be the new hazard in there team. He is the most exciting player since S Wright-Phillips, he would have played more than sinclair and excited the fans.
He pulled up with a hamstring (I think) in one match and then the idiot manager brought him back too soon (from desperation going off the quality of the rest of the team) which set him back again. That doesn't really qualify as a "poor injury record".
I'm pretty sure he has missed around half of his time there so far with injury so I'd say it's not been great, I didn't say he'd had lot of injuries. He's player around 12 games.

Nice to see Rony back playing. I think sometimes people forget he is only just 19 and that he was easily our best player in the EDS for the two seasons prior to his loan move. Just a shame he had an injury as he was getting more settled.

I believe he will be more than good enough for our first team squad next season.

"At the moment, it is expected that I will return to City," he said. "But anything is possible. I still have one year left on my contract (2016). We will see this summer. I love this city, the club and all the people with whom I have worked and lived with here."

I will be disappointed if City can't guarantee him playing next season because going of these comments it sounds like he wants to move to Lille if we can't offer him any game time which would be an absolute shocker from our point of view.

Only one year left on his deal and he could potentially be to us what Pogba was to the Rags.

We've got to make him part of the squad next year. We need the backup in creativity and he's got that spark to make a difference in a tight game. Not to mention the whole HG thing as well, but he's far too good for us to not make part of the squad. I'd far rather we had him here right now instead of Milner, he'll have quiet moments, but no more than Milner, who can go entire game without contributing anything. I'd rather him than Jovetic or Navas as well tbh.

He came on for Lille today for the last half hour, after the incredibly negative coach left him, Boufal and Origi on the bench. Barely got a kick after he came on as they decided to do nothing but lump long balls, but the one time he did get the ball in a good position, he did a fantastic backheel that set up what should of been the equaliser. Took some City-esque set pieces as well, hitting the first man about half the time, so he looks a ready made replacement for Milner.

He's a young player, he knows he won't be playing every week for a top team. As long as he's getting decent time and gets chances to fight for a place, I imagine he'd be more than happy to stay here.

If he left on a freebie I'd be fucking apoplectic with rage

Comments like this from our best academy talents are concerning, the club needs to address the situation urgently.
Loans are designed to develop a player in order the parent club reaps the benefit and not so the individual gets to sample a more inviting environment elsewhere.

From what I heard on the commentary of the game, it sounded more as if he was saying that he was open to another year on loan there rather than he was trying to leave us, but I imagine once you start playing football properly, you don't want to go back to youth team football.
