Marcos Lopes

If Milner goes we should tell the lad there is a place in the squad for him and he will get 20+ games next season

yep, we shouldnt waste money in buying a Milner replacement. Lopes is ready made IMO, one or two seasons and he will make a better contribution to the squad

Even if Milner stays, he can have Lampard's spot in the squad. Half a dozen starts and double that in substitute appearances should be more than enough in his first season with the senior team.

Lopes does a completely different job to Milner anyway.

I would love to see a front three of Reus, Aguero and Lopes with Silva just behind Kun, it would be lightening going forward.

Be nice that wouldn't it?

I have visions of a couple of years from now it being Barker and Lopes flanking Aguero, that would be a terrifying and direct front three. You never know, if we play it right we could even have those two flanking Kelechi. Big job for our youth development though, as we now have the players to have our own world class academy grown team if we do things right and get the right breaks.

Kelechi would be the kind of player who'd play off Aguero. He'd probably want Silva's role eventually if im being honest.

........... Aguero......
Barker Kelechi Lopes

That's the dream isn't it?

I don't know, he's got the physicality to play up on his own, I'd have thought he'd end up playing up top, especially as we have so many potential number 10's coming through. Either way, the club has no excuses anymore, if we don't have 4 or 5 youth team graduates in the first team in 3 or 4 years then they will have done something seriously wrong.

I think Ambrose might be gatecrashing that party.
So might Celina or Boadu, that's what's so exciting. We have so many with so much potential, we're in such a good position with the youth academy at the moment, we have to capitalise.
