Marcos Lopes

Very bright return from injury. Did more in 20 minutes than the rest of the team did in the whole game, not that that's saying much, as Lille were fucking shocking. Most important thing though is that he made it through without re-injuring himself, despite a couple of terrible tackles on him.

He's the kind of player that if he didn't play for City i'd be wanting. Only just turned 19. Fast, powerful, intelligent, can score goals from anywhere and doesn't look out of place in a first team.

Honestly, if he was English we'd be told 30m+ for him. I just love players who can up a game's tempo just like *that* and he's that kind of player.

He's the brightest prospect i've seen from the academy in years. Well, him and Denayer (with Barker just behind)...

Those three should be dead certs and if they're not we've fucked it up.

to say he as been out with an injury for a while, he looked very good when he came on!! hopefully stays fit an as a good end to the season

Spot on.. this lad should be next in line Behind Silva and Nasri one of those got injured Lopes should be lining up..

If Milner is off I would be replacing him with Lopes.

Either way I think he will be at City next year because he is clearly good enough for Premier League football, both physically and technically.

It's just experience that he needs to bring to his game now.

With Silva and Aguero around him he could offer us some real quick dynamism that we currently don't have.

I completely agree Rony showed last season he didn't look out of place in our first team and its a shame he has had such a poor injury record with Lille, if he'd been fit all year he would be the new hazard in there team. He is the most exciting player since S Wright-Phillips, he would have played more than sinclair and excited the fans.

Back in the squad for todays game. Hopefully he'll get on for the last 20 minutes of so, instead of being thrown in to start the game in central midfield like last time. Hopefully he can have an injury free second half of the season so he can really show what he's about, god knows Lile could use him.

I was just about to ask if anyone knew if he was on the bench, I see the new signing boufal starts. I'm also wondering with his injuries and the new signings could he return and replace Sinclair of he leaves.
Why would we need to replace Sinclair? He has no purpose, we could replace him with a lifesize cardboard cut out of Scott Sinclar instead and it would be just as useful to the team. If we were to sell Milner this window then we could consider bringing him back to replace him, but I don't see either of those things happening.
Because he has still been registered in the squad so why not replace him with a young, hungry talented club trained and home grown talent who would excite the fans.

Hi everybody. For those who don't remember, i'm a french Lille and City fan

So, Rony didn't play a lot since my last post. As you know, he was injured and when he returned on the 1st November at home, he was subbed off after the 1st half. He was back in training last week and he finally came back tonight vs Lorient. This man is already big.
He was subbed in (I don't know how to say this) at the 70th minute, and we started to react since the 70th minute. For a man who came back from an injury, he was pretty impressive. His percussion, his velocity, and his power brang us what we needed when he was injured. This young player is a mix of Touré and Silva. He was near to score and his association with Boufal is promising for the end of the season.
I don't think Boufal will halt Lopes progression, but he will accelerate it. He is a very interesting player and a good signing for us, a Lopes powerfuless. They can play at the same position (10 or winger) but we will surely play in 4-3-3 now with one on each side of the attack, and if Origi play with them in central striker this attack lineup can be amazing.

To sum up, I think the best is coming for Lopes and Lille. But I guess he will be loaned out next season too if City continue to buy attacking players. And I hope we will be the happy winners again :)

Thanks for the update and I hope you are right and Rony has a fantastic second half of the season for Lille, as you asked you could say he was brought on or he came on in the 70th minute.
I personally wouldn't imagine that if he does have a great second half of the season he will return to Lille next season but I could see some other EDS(under21) players being loaned to you like Thiery Ambrose, bersant celina or Oliver ntcham.

He pulled up with a hamstring (I think) in one match and then the idiot manager brought him back too soon (from desperation going off the quality of the rest of the team) which set him back again. That doesn't really qualify as a "poor injury record".
