Oh f*** off. Its clear to see him and Hughes dont get on and neither respect each other.

Thats what happens when you have a world class player and an inept manager. Robinho needs someone to look upto like a fatherly figure.

Hughes has no man management skills and that is becoming more and more obvious as the season goes on.

Are you kiddin' me? Is this a serious statement?? The players are professional athletes. Whether they like there boss or not should have absolutely no bearing on how well they play. They should play there hearts out game in and game out. I didn't watch the game, (kind of glad I couldn't find it to d/l :P ..) So I can't say shit about tonights game.

But what I can say is this. If the little prat doesn't want to show up to a game because he doesn't like the manager of the team, then he can fuck right off.

No player should require there balls to polished to play well. Suck it up and get in the game you fucking sissy.

P.S. This post is solely based on what appears to be the general consensus of Robinhos game tonight, and his lackluster play that I have witnessed this season.

I more or less agree with this but I do think man management has to be a factor, no matter how galling it is that players stop playing for certain managers or lose faith in him. I also think managers need to contribute to overall morale and self-belief, even for top players. You do need to know how to get the best out of them and maintain or bolster their confidence and some managers are far better at that than others.

Robinho has to start performing like we know he can. I think there's little debate in whether he's massively talented, but when he doesn't perform then I see no harm in criticism. There's no point in shrugging off a performance like tonight's with a flippant, 'but he's one of the most talented players in the world!' He has to start showing it.

He's had some great performances in a blue shirt since he arrived and I'd be gutted if we lost him - but those performances, in my view, have been too few and far between. The lad has got to start proving some points on the field otherwise what's the point in keeping him?

A lot of people make the point that the hussle and the closing down isn't part of his game and this is fair. I remember Shaun Goater's said a few years back that he too considered a game of tracking back and putting himself about beyond him and a waste of energy. When the City fan's made it clear that they expected more from him, he pulled his socks up and did the hard graft and a result his game and his goal tally improved dramatically.

Look, I understand comparing Goater and Robinho is comparing a Fiesta to a Porsche, but the lesson is there to be learned and I actually would like to see him grab a game by the scruff of the neck much much more than he presently does.

Erm, I think you'll find that the Kaka is shit and so is Eto remark was sarcastic. And where, in the other two posts, do you see me calling him shit.

You don't rate Kaka as a player, you don't think he is good as everyone makes out him to be.

You are wrong and are wrong about Robinho.

That's right. So far he hasn't been worth the money paid out for him What did they pay for him, 65 million? And you think he's lived up to that so far? Because his club doesn't.

Does hughes know how to get the best from Robbie, he's a world class player, or is Robbie just inconsistent or is the prem to physical for him...i just dont know.

Was waiting for that but none of the others last season were so called world class players and he really does do very little in away games. The reason I asked is because Ive always thought it's because he's not quite in the very top bracket of world class player.I'm not having a go at him for this and I even feel a bit sorry for him the way the press will always single him out as if to say oh yeah Robinho couldn't be arsed because it was an away game.

I just think away from home you will never have as much possesion as you do at home so he usually gets the ball alot deeper than he does at home.So when he gets the ball deep against a defender even if he beats him his lack of pace or strength means he is'nt really going anywhere from the half way line.Slightly different at home when we can get him on it the around the edge of the box.I'm not having a dig at him it's just some people seem to think oh if he wanted to he could be like Ronaldo and he's not in the same class.

Maybe you should start watching Revista De La Liga as they can't praise him enough, Kaka is the goldenboy in Madrid not Ronaldo, he is the heart beat of the side and when he doesn't play Madrid look lost.

Goater?, Robinho?, Fiesta?, Porsche? Did you get this the right way around?

Being the most naturally talented player we have on the books does not compute to him being the most influential player in the team. i've no doubt he could probably defeat Cantona in a keepy-upy contest but he cannot match Cantonas influence to the team on the park.....and unfortunately for us team influence ALWAYS trumps the showboating. All is not lost however because we can afford a player with both sets of attributes.

We need a captian, hurry up Vincent.

Look at the way Dunga treats Robinho, as i said like a father figure. Different players need treating different ways. You cant be a disciplinarian with every single person, it just doesn't work.

I'll give you another example. Didier Drogba and Jose Mourinho. I didn't see Mourinho mollycuddle anyone as much as he did with Drogba when at Chelsea, and the result was Drogba practically scored wek in week out, then came Scolari with a different approach and then look what happened to Drogba.

I take it your not in a management position at your place of work, and you dont have different motivational techniques for different people? People are different, if we were all the same it'd be pretty boring, and you have to treat people in different ways to be able to get the most out of them. If you dont do that and treat everyone the same you'd have a mutiny on your hands.

Another example is myself. Shout at me, scream at me, bollock me and i just think fuck right off and become even more difficult to deal with. Speak to me calmly, clear and direct about the same thing and i'll excel at whatever the problem was next time.

Man Management, its hard to get right, but when you do you reap the rewards.

Re: Own up, who hates the derby.

Robbie was fucking hopeless last nite. Quiet in the 1st, complete liability in the 2nd and a total waste of space
