Mard arse Robinho

Our system doesnt fit Robinho. He's a good player and I bet he could deliver in Barca for example. But the defeat wasnt because of Robinho. It was because we failed to control the midfield. Strikers and attacking wingers will always have hard time when a team doesnt control midfield. Watch games where spurs are on their back foot, does Lennon shine? I dont know, I believe he doesnt.

System. What system? Somebody said we were playing a christmas tree formation last night. It was more like a christmas pudding.

Play to players strengths and we'll succeed, but time and time again Hughes fails to do so.

With all due respect you're talking shite, Robinho is the best at party tricks with the ball, he is not our best player, not even in the top ten. His limited skill set mean he's a hoarse for few courses. Why is it if a player has a few tricks people think "ooh what a player"? He's shit in the air, shit at tackling, weak as piss, poor work rate, poor attitude and has yet to master any position on the pitch. I can't wait for the African Nations as our two other passengers will be gone, If only Hughes would ditch the little turd called Robinho.

There's clueless .....and then there's you.

YOu fail to mention his passing, which is the best at the club. His vision which is also the best at the club and his composure in front of goal, which, again, is the best at the club. I'm surprised that you didn't mention that he was shit in nets...
You're obviously watching a different player to me then, I see him constantly shooting off target from distance, losing the ball whilst dwelling on it but most of all not doing much at all. Actually watch what happens with yoir own eyes, his passing is not "stand out" and as for his composure in front of goal, all I've seen this season is fluffed chances. Get real and realise this bloke is a light weight slacker who can't have an impact in the EPL. As a well knwn rap band used to say "don't believe the hype".
There's a hard core of starry eyed Robinho bum lickers on here who will believe he's the 2nd coming no matter how shit he performs.

Didnt say the system works but I can see what Hughes is trying to do. He's trying to make a hardworking side that is hard to breakdown, a side that doesnt control the game but can make decisive counterattacks. fuck it, I dont know what he is trying to do. He probably doesnt know either. Just mixing things up and hoping for the best. Tottenham had a clear plan and it worked. We are clueless. :<

What did Ade, Tevez, Ireland, Barry, and Santa Cruz, who cost £17mill, do tonite? NOTHING!!!

So don't start blamming Robinho for everything, yes he played crap but so did everyone else.
Tevez worked his socks off, Ireland worked tirelessly and made loads of good runs in the 2nd half, Santa Cruz got in some good positions and should have maybe had a penalty. Adebayor did not much but that's all I expect from him!

Amen. It's as if they're scared to admit that the English league's most expensive ever player is about as suited to playing in the English League as Julian Clary. It's not a crime to accept that Robinho isn't actually as good as we were led to believe. The rest of England seems to have figured it out.

Finally someones talking some sense, said it all along he is not a good player, got some good skills but thats it. Look at Tranny, he has good skills and quick feet but he is strong and he can do things that Robinho cant do no matter where Robinho plays whether its at Barcelona, City or fucking Accrington Stanley hes is shite. How people can say he is our best player is beyond me, Tevez, Barry, Ireland, SWP, Given, Toure and Lescott are all better than him. He does 1 good thing once a month and everyone bums him and cant stop praising him. Get from up his arse and you will realise that he is a lazy twat who needs getting rid of because he doesnt help the team at all and people talked about Elano being a disruptive influence, well Robinho is exactly the same. Get shut Hughes.

Not read all this thread but quick question for the Robbie lovers and critics. Why do you think he plays pretty poorly on a consistent basis away from home?

Sadly theres no answer for that and the same could be asked about most of the players we've got considering we've only won 4 of the 25 away games since Hughes took over

Now, that is a statement of fact no one can disagree with.

We hear the regular training reports from NMT and he always says about how well they train and what a great spirit the players have, which raises a couple of points.

When NMT tells us they play "defense and attack" he nearly always reports that the defense comes out on top. Now I can't remember the last time we kept a clean sheet, so do I draw to the conclusion that if our defense can keep our attack out in training but can't keep the opposition out in an actual match, that means our attack is pretty shit?

If the spirit in the camp is so good, that should transfer onto the pitch, and in my eyes I aint seeing it.

Does four wins in 25 away matches say something about our manager and his tactics?

Someone earlier in this thread pointed out that we're playing like a bunch of individuals and I've thought the same for weeks.
Over £250M has been spent on this squad and IMO 90% of the time this season we've been really scrappy and haven't played like a team. We have some extremely talented players in our squad, so why?

Yes Robbie didn't play well last night...and I wouldn't be surprised to see him leave in January, unfortunately.

But to be fair, the whole team only really played for the first 20 minutes. After that, there was only really Tevez
and Stevie Ireland in patches that played well.

So to single Robinho from last nights debacle is a little unfair.

Couple that with the fact he is just coming back from a long lay off and isnt really match fit, and what do you expect?
He was the only one to get a shot on target last night in the first half.

This thread could just as easily be called 'Ade-bye-where?' as he was missing for most of last night.

And yes, it was the worst performance of the season so far.
