Long ball are people really still believing this myth?We play more like a 5 a side team,with about 4 of our superstars playing pretty patterns in about a 10 yard space on the left and us getting nowhere at the end of it.Yes the keeper kicks it long most keepers do.The difference is most teams tall striker actually challenges for the ball when it's in the air.

Agree that's absolute bollocks, the team's been set up to suit Robinho for the last year or so, it was a long pass from Petrov that produced the best chance for Ade, must have been a fluke though because Robinho's a better passer!

Robbie started because Bellamy's out suspended and Petrov's just back from injury.
However this is where the manager earns his money. He should have set us out as being difficult to beat, rather than looking like a gang that'd never played together before.

EG. Lennon was always going to cause us problems. Why not play Barry on the left?

Robinho has had an incredible difficult time here, he's constantly at the attention of the newspaper, telling lies, the police saga etc. I think he had a very good first season, with some matches he didn't really turn up to, but mostly when he did not turn up, the rest of the team didn't either. He god some mad skills no doubt, but using him on the left side in a match today is useless, and if Hughes is going to continue to do that, we are better of selling Robinho, I hate to say it but it's true.

There are still matches he could be useful on the left, but this was not one of them, he needs to be used in front, because everyone knows he is not going to help out our left back much. He is used wrong and as long as Hughes does that, Robinho is shit, and is better off sold.

Makes you really wonder how weird things are, we want a player like Robinho sold, utter madness. But at least now we should be able to bring in players with almost the same reputation and skill.

But hes not a left winger, that just where hughes has fitted him in. Robinho needs a team built around him, hes a cracking little player but just seems to be stuck out on the left. If he was at Chelsea/Utd/Arsenal he would a revelation.
