Watched tonight's game in a busy bar in Majorca. My 5 year old thinks Mario is on a par with messi and had his "why always me" t-shirt on. Couldn't believe the number of people coming up to us after the match telling us that Mario was brilliant, a genius, priceless etc etc

Never been a big fan of the boy,but certainly never a hater.
However,after last nights performance even I,have to hold my hands up and say "very well played Mario"
My main gripe with him as always been his desire to throw a strop when things aren`t going well for him.If he can act more like his last three games as he`s done for Italy,but transfer it to the Blues,then I could become a convert.
Prove me wrong,starting next season Mario.

Mario is the definition of misunderstood genius. I know he's wealthy but I have to think that he still has issues with being happy but hopefully today has brought him closer to being satisfied.
I also think that every horrible person who has made monkey noises or thrown bananas as him is eating their words and realizing the error of their ways. I think single-handedly leading your country to a massive upset in a major tournament would outweigh being a secondary player in a league championship for most people. Mario loves City but bringing glory to Italy means more to him and that's ok.
