Mario Balotelli

Loved him in that Spurs game, crying how he should have been sent off and then he scores a winning penalty.
Watched that game in the boozer for some reason, think I’d been at a christening or something. Wound the rags up by getting up for a piss before he took the penalty as I knew he wouldnt miss. Would have have to climb out of the window if he had!

A maverick. Off the wall. Capable of genuine greatness, in flashes. Not always capable of carrying out instructions. Played it as he felt it. I've often said it — just right for City, at that point in the club's trajectory. Would not have lasted five minutes with Pep.
A character. The game needs those, albeit not more than one in any given team.

Incorrect - I believe he helped set the bathroom on fire in his house by setting off fireworks - that an assist isn't it lol?
If I remember right he then took a safety course and became a fire martial for the city stadium or academy or something?

I miss mario absolutely loved the guy. Was good to see him doing punditry for the champions league final.

Bring him home

I did hear that he's returning to City as head of Media & PR along with Nigel de Jong heading up security.

Don't shoot the passenger !!

The Yaya Touré stuff on this site is the worst for that.

Yaya is the epitome of big game player club legend. Yet he’s freely called a **** on this website and his achievements are disregarded.

In the real world I’ve never heard a City fan say anything derogatory about Yaya.
100%

A phenomenon, the best player in the world in his position for 3 consecutive years.

A crying shame he has no association with the club now.....
African Ambassador ?

He is a legend - he was a crucial signing for us, the type of player current Chelsea are not signing and hence their inevitable failure at challenging.

Barry was a seasoned Premier Legaue top pro, no nonsense, had a decent range of passing, good ball retention and all round game…..
100%

SuperGlue !!

I watched a career highlights reel of him on BeIn in November....WoW.

If anyone couldve got hold of him, and he'd dedicated just 10 years to his career, he could've been in the Pantheon of Greats.

Mario had everything ....apart from dedication.

Good luck fella !!
I actually respect him for living the life he has.

As I'm a serial underachiever who utterly lacks ambition and motivation to achieve anything at all in my life I feel he and I are kindred spirits.
