Been said before but off the field I treasure memories like his donation to the cat shelter that had a fire.
And the story (true?) that he was once asked by police in Manchester why he had hundreds of pounds in cash floating around in his car; Mario replied "because I'm rich."

He was definitely a mad Mario. I think most here loved him and his eccentricity. But…….did he waste undoubted talent?
