Mario Gomez

Don't care how many goals he scores, the man is a big lump. I want to see good football played at my football club.

Here is a list I made 2 months ago. It was slightly outdated by the end of the season but...

So we sign Gomez and Higuain

You just described Dzeko.[/quote]

Be that as it may, If I had to choose 5 chances to either fall to Gomez or Dzeko in a game. I would feel more confident with Gomez on the end of them

A genuine goal- poacher.would sign him up tomorrow. As someone else has already said on herehe's a definate upgrade on all of the other numpty alternatives that have been suggested, in the press, over the last 48 hours.

Oscar Cardosa Indeed!! ...Micky Mouse player in a micky Mouse league

It's Cardozo and he isn't a Mickey Mouse player - 106 goals in 160 games for Benfica and 224 in 390 career games says so.

He knows where the net is, simple as that.

Not knocking Gomez though, he's also an exceptional finisher.

Gomez is an exceptional goal scorer, remember backing him as top scorer in the Euros though and he was gash but apart from that he scores goals. You also can't say it's just because he plays for Bayern as his conversion rate is fantastic. We were crying out for someone to score goals like that last season

Not my first choice but his record of scoring goals is exellent and we need someone to hit the back of the net. It wouldnt be the exciting signing that we all want but he gets the job done. I personally would want someone with a bit more speed who can beat his man and put the ball in the back of the net but it seems pellegrini wants this from his midfield players. Give me a guy like El Shaarway out on the left and Gomez to mop up in the box and this should do the job!;)

GO CITY!!

Would love gomez to come he would score a bucket load in our team. Has tolmie posted anything regarding which striker might be coming in?

Aguero 53 games, 26 goals (0.49 goals/game)
Tevez 33 games, 6 goals (0.18 g/g)
Dzeko 38 games, 13 goals (0.34 g/g)
Balotelli 30 games, 9 goals (0.3 g/g)

Gomez 62 games, 37 goals (0.6 g/g)
Cardozo 65 games, 33 goals (0.51 g/g)
Rooney 77 games, 31 goals (0.4 g/g)
Lewandowski 42 games, 18 goals (0.43 g/g)
Cavani 27 games, 19 goals (0.7 g/g)
Suarez 42 games, 21 goals (0.5 g/g)

If you look at the people we have/had and the people we've been linked withs (and the people who people want) goalscoring record in Europe, it's pretty hard to argue with Gomez. Also, I never realised how awful Tevez's record in Europe has been

You can't take away the fact that he's a goal machine. I remember a certain Bermudan who was probably one of the shittest footballers around but scored bucket loads of goals for us. Sometimes you just need one of these types of forwards. Goals win games.

Really wouldn't be a bad signing considering his price and his wages wouldn't be that high as well. Would be a good thing having a striker who stays in the box. Plus he's a good size and can head, shoot with either foot and is clinical.
