Mark Clattenberg

There needs to be 2 refs on the pitch. 1 takes responsibility for each half but helping assist the other when needed.
An extra pair of eyes would stop the ref from wanting to be the star of the show and give more balanced decisions.
The linesmen cannot help as much as they need to concentrate on the offside rule before anything else.

tin hat time...bar the obvious penalty he was ok

I seen it like this Kompany and Toure were lucky not to get sent of Merieles should of been off we should off had a penalty but watching it live it was a 50/50 after replay def penalty! But not giving us that penalty cost us a win for me.....

I don't think we deserved to win but definetly did not deserve to lose like that, clattenburg knew what he was doing and did it without remorse. Never trusted this guy since his comments on Bellamy at halftime at Bolton, if the refereeing assessors had any guts he would have been struck off.

Oakie read that mate, Clatten-tosser-burg is not a good ref. He has consistent poor games, especially with us.

Did you forget about the sending off a Rag Player by the same official or did you conviniently want to to forget about it ?
Oh I see. That was OK then was it ??
PMSL at you.
Get a grip on life son.
Sunday will soon be here and I have faith that the lads will be chomping at the bit for that game.

What the hell is your problem with fellow blues tonight? Constantly picking arguments. Don't patronise me i'm not your son, I also don't need to get a grip on life.

I mentioned incorrect decisions above not correct obvious decisions, son.

Oh dear time for your bedebohs I think.
I don`t were blinkers all the time when watching City unlike people like you.
Just because I don`t agree with yours or others sentiments that a ref did this that and the other, pundits daring to say this, that and `tother about likul ol` City, wow I`m really upset.
By the way if you read other threads I`ve been on tonight, I`ve also had some nice people agree with some of my sentiments, which I would ask you to read, but I suppose you`re too blinkered to read those .

I thought he was pretty decent tonight. As I've said elsewhere, I wouldn't have given the penalty because Silva tucked his legs and took the fall. There was contact but it looked every bit the dive if you didn't actually see the contact which Clattenberg, despite his positioning, may not have. Even in slow mo it was tricky to see the point of impact. At full pace and with the player clearly making no attempt to play on it looks a dive. However if that was the case he should have booked Silva which he didn't, so I'm not sure what he thought! Nevertheless, overall I thought he did very well.

He should have been banned for life for those comments alone.

Very odd when he overruled his assistant to award them a corner.
i agree, assistant had a better view imo and for me it topped off the home side bias from him
