Mark Clattenberg

if clichy was sent off for 2 harmless trips , why wasnt meriless sent off for 2 dangerous over the top challenges ?? He got the silva pen wrong , and i dont think lescott could get out of the way of their penalty claim , But we should have been out of sight after 30 minutes , blame the team for not punishing a very average chelsea team .But blaming clattenburg makes us sound like baconface or daglish , and we shouldnt sink to that level.

I think Yaya was lucky still to on the pich after one kick and a slap around the head.
Seen them given red cards plenty of times.

That seems fair a different ref each half. If one is blatantly bias it will cancel in the next half. And hope that you don't get two bias refs in one game.

i think he means two on the pitch, one in each half

He's very strange, and a poor referee IMO.

I say strange because he looks so uncomfortable and out of his depth all the time. He does these ridiculous and meaningless hand gestures as though it's standard practice (remember the "tumble hands" after denying Micah a clear pen), and I'm sure last night he pretended to yawn at one point when he released he'd missed something - which is just bizarre.

He also seems too easily influenced by the crowd (Silva pen, foul on Zab probably a red etc), but Clichy deserved two yellow cards IMO, and the first one was daft and unnecessary.

He's just not good enough for the Premier League, and is a bit of a knob to boot.

There's no doubt that be missed the penalty in the first half, that was bad. The problem is that referees are always hesitant to give a penalty in that situation with a team already one up. If it was still 0-0 he would have given it IMO.

I also think that refs, commentators and pretty much everybody in the world is pissed that City is where they are now. You don't just shake up the status quo and not get some resistance. This will get worse before it gets better.

They know the score now, to take points off City have one sent off. As it is, we leak goals like a sieve. Sad to compare to last seasons string of clean sheets, isn't it?

i hate that notion where referees are hesitant to give out a penalty because of some circumstance that has nothing to do with it, ie already being 1-0 up or already given a penalty to that team. Its fucking stupid. Just fucking be objective instead of considering all these external consequences like what would bacon face think if i gave out a penalty etc.

Won't comment on Clattenburg other than to say:

1. We get the penalty for the foul on Silva and we go 2-0 up - GAME OVER (other than we probably would have run riot with more goals)

2. Meireles should not have been on the pitch after 3 blatant, bookable offences and one bad enough to warrant a red card.

Result altering decisions.
