Mark Clattenburg

I genuinely believe he is corrupt. Take a look at the "football is fixed" blog. He has a long history associated with corruption. The decision wasn't just bad it was cheating IMO.

Me too.

That game stunk. And if the rags are given 4th to our detriment because of decisions like this I'm out.
Shouldn't let it get you like that. Don't let the bastards win!!!!!! All we can do is support our club and owners and stick 2 fingers up to them all.
Hopefully Pep will light the fires under us and we steam roll it for a few years. Get some world class players in pay over the odds to piss them all off even more.
We are MCFC, fuck em all.

I just thought guy it was a poor decision, I didn't think it was in the realms of being corrupt though.

Investigations into referees before when they have been accused of being corrupt, it is not the big decisions like penalties that they do as it is too obvious, it is the niggly fouls in the middle as it allows one team to retain more control of the football match.

That one yesterday, his interpretation was that Sterling jumped with his arm in an unnatural position. I disagree with him, but no way is it a sign of corruptness.

I see your point but the referee is what 20-30 yards away? I was in block 327 at other end of the ground roughly 100 metres or so give or take, I'm in my forties and the old bulbs are starting to fail me, and my interpretation was that the ball hit the lad in the back. There was no suggestion of handball from my view. I called it correct but Clattenburg got it wrong. In all honesty I just don't see how this can be possible, and questions do need to be asked.
Your other point about the niggly fouls is a good one and puts me mind of the way Silva and Aguero and generally free targets for all and sundry.

He just doesn't like us end of. Elleray didn't like the rags and Keane, it happens. Am sure we'll get another dodgy decision a la sterling v everton. It'll even itself out.
There are dodgy decisions and then there is either totally incompetent or bent decisions. The Everton call was dodgy and it went in our favour but it was almost impossible even with video evidence to be 100% sure and certainly not at game speed. However, we have suffered from 2 of the worst decisions in recent years against Spuds this season. The offside not given just before half time and then this disgrace and that is the only way of describing it. This should not and indeed must not be forgotten about. I know there is little of practical significance we can do about it but perhaps we could start a push to have serious penalties for refs who make such bad decisions which are totally irrational. Is this guy bent? No. He is far too stupid to be involved in any monkey business.

Absolutely piston.

To me, it becomes a question of competence rather than any insinuation of corruptness, and by giving the penalty, he has shown incompetence and should be treated accordingly.
