Mark Hughes - 'I Deserve More Credit'

Why doesnt he wait until the season has finished to say something like this, if we get the 7th spot (which is possible as Fulham have to go to Newcastle who will be playing at a higher intensity level than Fulham who are, yes, going for the European place but that is not as important as staying in the league - they will know this from last season!) because if he does get us into 7th place come next Sunday he will be getting loads of credit!

Evaluations of how people have done shouldnt come until the end of the season, because you havent played everyone home and away to be judged until the end!

I'm getting fed up with Hughes and his team running to the press about how great they are, how crap Sven's team are, how superb their training methods are etc etc etc. Hughes is talking the talking but he isn't walking the walk.

You're not the only one.

Hughes really doesn't make it easy to support him, even the blinkered Hughes lovers are growing tired of the shite that rolls off his tongue.

I'm tired of the way he tries to pull the wool over everyone's eyes, he needs to stop with the propaganda and get on with his job.

All he has managed to do here is lose more respect from myself and others, and at the same time come across as an absolute clown.

Well done Leslie.

Hughes has done a descent job so far.

Yes he has, we have descended from 9th to 10th.

Hughes took over a team that had won one game in about 3 months at the end of Svens season as we went from a regular (although extremely flattering) 3rd/4th when we beat Newcastle away on Jan 2nd to 5th in Feb, 6th in March, 7th then 8th in April and ended up in 9th!
This season we started off up at about 6th/7th then started picking up only 1 point or our regular 0 points away from home which saw us go from 8th in September to 10th/11th in October, shooting down to 13th/14th in November and them we were in the bottom 3 after we lost away to West Brom (which i think was a game where the players should have refunded the fans that travelled down to watch them play the worst footy ive seen for a few years including the shite at the end of Pearces reign) from then we slowly but surely have crept up the league! Now there is a bit of a mish-mash of 4 teams all changing places and batttling it out for 7th place! Just have the patience to wait until next weekend at home to Bolton and then see where we have ascended or descended to!

in fairness, tottenham have spent well over 100m in the last two seasons and have just been fighting off relegation......it prove that you cant just throw money at a team....a lot of people on here are turning a blind eye to that fact, and they are at the same point we are after ONE season.... and some people are still saying hughes should have us solidified in europe by now....one season damn it!

tottenham went for a top class manager in ramos on a huge wage.....that back fired, they spent millions on players like dos santos and many more who now play in the reserves, theve spent millions and are a mid table team....but their fans arnt on the teams back like ours.

imo the squad hughes took over wasnt very strong, and what happened last season for me was a one off flukey season that happen very every so often, on par with ipswich town the year they finished in europe,.....then relegated the next year, also think hull in the first half of this season.

the squad was weak hence the fact only one/two of erikksons signings still play, and the others (richards, dunne, onouha, ireland) have been at the club for a long time.

some people are just too fuckin impatient.

You're right, you can't just throw money at a team, you need a good manager as well.

Tottenham is living proof of that.

During the time you're talking since Ramos took over at Spurs they have sold 3 of their best players during that time for big fee's whereas the same thing can't be said for us
