if you look at city properly and then look round at the other sides in the premier league you can see there is very little , if any, chance we'll go down.
just more "hughes out" pricks thats dont know what they are talking about.
as for the article thats equally shite.[/quote]
De niro i understand your loyalty, as i always try and back the manager and the players to the hilt myself. What you've just said there though reminds so much of how the city fans were divided under Alan Balls rain. In football theres no such thing as being to good to go down and we've got a glaring example of that in our recent past.
As things stand now even if we improve dramatically i don't think theres anyway we can qualify for Europe. And i can see us losing players because of that, as i can't see the likes of Robinho, SWP, Zab & Kompany (maybe even Ireland) sticking around come the summer. If Europe's really big guns come knocking on our door which is a possibility. Honestly the only way i can see us keeping hold of these players and adding more quality is to get a big well respected name in.
Before you mention United & Fergie which i'm sure you will IF you reply to this post, football has moved on in the last 20 years its a different game now because of the insanely large amounts of money involved. For one even though i dont like the **** Fergie is without doubt in my mind the greatest football manager ever. And if he carries on being successful for another 5 or 10 years (its possible) i dont think anyone ever in the history of football will ever equal what he has achieved.
As Fergie was in the right place at the right time, as in he managed to turn united into a good team just before the creation of the Premier league. And as you know yourself because of the way the Premiership & Champions league is setup the teams at the top get most of the money which has enabled them to sustain there success by having much more money than anyone else. That's why he can get away with what he does with players and the FA. He's got 20 years of being the best to back him up, So players and the board can't argue with him as he can always slap them down with everything he's won.
Hughes on the other hand hasn't got anything to back himself up, as he's never won anything as a manager. From what i can make out as an outsider looking in (i dont know the inner working of the club) theres a lot of unrest within the team with players complaining to the press & Hughes complaining to the press. And i think this is in part down to Hughes not being able to handle the big egos because he's got nothing to back himself up with. You see to be honest i think the insanely large financial backing Hughes hes got is a massive mill stone around his neck, and it possibly always will be.
Personally i just dont see him being the right man for the job and you can see that with how desperate he is by the type of players he's trying to sign. As in he's trying to get in old friends/allys to try and address the balance in the dressing room to his favour. Seriously he has all the money that he wants, he can buy anyone but he seems to be going after players that he knows personally. Look at RSC he's a injury prone player and has had one good season in the Premiership. Instead of bidding for him he could be putting in a sneaky bid for Michael Owen who's contract has nearly run out. Hes prone to injury as well but he's got far more experience in the Premiership & top level football and is guaranteed to score goals when he's fit plus his not injured ATM like RSC is.
no, they dont say we COULD get relegated, they are saying we will.Dubai Blue said:Or perhaps they just have a different opinion to you.de niro said:then you both know nothing about football.
