Interesting, I have it on good authority that he's a raging thundercunt. I tried to tell him but he blocked me on twitter.

@MOgdenTelegraph: Liverpool probably the most exciting champions to watch since Arsenal's Invincibles. No question that they deserve to win the league.

Didn't see that tweet did he really tweet that? I presume it was after they beat us

That's the photo of a man who takes himself far too seriously.

Well, as Liverpool fans used to say about wee Davey, "you don't have to win things to be a winner."

Bloody hell. Mr Ogden obviously has previous then. I tend to skip through the footy pages of the papers that are free on my mobile. I used to buy The Times, which was great for sport but became a bit too expensive at £1 per day, compared to £0 per day on the internet for other papers. It's rare to find any journalists with a pro-City leaning, but the negativity we see almost every day is astonishing. To be honest, it's not much different from opposing managers. How many times do you hear manager who's just been on the end of a thumping, revert to the old excuse of " what do you expect against a team that's spent a billion pounds?" You hear it on the radio from jealous fans. Their hatred of our success is palpable. But who is the hatred for ? Is it for the players ? Most of our players are quite likable. Is it against the owners ? Who could ask for better owners ? Is it against our fans ? We get the "where were you when you were shit" song every week. Can we put "check the record books and you'll see most of us were here when we were shit" to a tune ? Personally, I feel incredibly privileged to be able to watch some of the world's best footballers in a City shirt every week. When we look back over the last 37 years( my whole City watching career) we've certainly watched some poor excuses for professional footballers. There must be a lot of clubs who've put up with crap for decades, but most of them have seen their attendances fall off a cliff as a result (villa, Newcastle ,Everton before Howard Kendall started winning, and many more. I know our attendances were pretty low in the late 80s/ early 90s but I'm pretty sure crowds as a whole were low around that time. We were low 20 thousands as I recall. Apart from the obvious reasons, ( breaking the regular hierarchy and jealousy) it's difficult to see why all this vitriol is thrown our way. It would be nice for us to get widespread recognition, but if we keep winning titles and keep getting grief from arseholes in the press, I'll take that anyday.

Eliaquim Mangala has dealt a blow to Manchester City's hopes of securing a deal for the £35m-rated Porto defender by claiming he would rather sign for Chelsea.
The France international had been close to moving to the Etihad Stadium in January when City attempted to complete a double move for the 23-year-old centre-half and Brazilian midfielder Fernando.
Manchester United and Paris St Germain have also pursued Mangala, but City had appeared to be favourites to sign the player, despite accepting a £49million fine from Uefa last week for falling foul of Financial Fair Play regulations.
However, in an interview with Bein Sports, Mangala has now admitted that he favours a move to Chelsea because he would rather play in London.
"City or Chelsea? Chelsea because it is London,” Mangala said, when asked which club he would prefer to play for.

"It is true that I love the Premier League because it is a spectacular championship. In January, there were discussions with City, but it fell through because the two clubs could not reach an agreement.
"Every player wants to play in the biggest clubs. I am an ambitious player and the team that can help me win titles is the one that interests me."
With Mangala now preparing for the World Cup after being named in Didier Deschamps’ France squad, he has insisted that he will put his club future on hold until after the tournament in Brazil.
"My goal now is the World Cup,” Mangala said. “We will see what happens after that. I told Jorge Mendes [his agent] that I don't want to know anything about the transfer window until then.”

You should look up the Stuart Brennan effort from 2012 too. Equally cringe-worthy. If you can access the comments page, you will see my reaction at the time. It was about us needing a big clear-out, having failed disastrously in the league that season. If you can access the MEN archives, another gem was Rob Dawson telling us that due to Southampton, west ham and another southern club coming up, and Bolton, Blackburn, and someone else going down, city and united fans would have to travel further to away games ! Fucking genius Dawson ! Again if you can access the comments page, I was quite scathing in my criticism of Mr Dob Rawson, as he titled that particular piece of "journalism" . Money for old rope , I tell thi !
